Struggles on Full Display Recently
The Vegas Golden Knights have struggled in recent weeks, going 3-6-1 in their last 10 games. After starting the season as one of the best teams in the Western Conference, the Golden Knights are now in a position to potentially miss the playoffs if they continue to struggle.
They’re currently in fourth place in the Pacific Division with 75 points, eight points ahead of the Seattle Kraken.

Latest Moves Should Improve the Team
Anthony Mantha was traded to the Golden Knights during the trade deadline, giving the Golden Knights a 34-point scorer and a big, strong player who has played in big moments before.
He spoke about what it meant to be traded to Vegas, according to NHL.com.
“It’s going to be awesome,” he said. “I mean once I landed – before that was stressful. Starting last night just packing and trying to figure out with the wife and baby what to do. Still don’t know but it’ll come. We’ll chat about it. I’m just excited to be here.”

The excitement is clear from Mantha, and it always shows that the Golden Knights made this move because they believe they can win again this season. If the front office didn’t have the confidence that they can play the way they did last season and make another deep playoff push, they wouldn’t be moving assets to land these players.
Instead, Mantha ends up in Vegas, and the Golden Knights land one of the best players on the market.
Bruce Cassidy, Golden Knights head coach, spoke about adding the veteran. He had nothing but good things to say about the addition. Giving him another option to throw at teams will be valuable and make his job easier.
“Big winger, can score. Good hands, soft hands,” he said. “Good on the breakout and on the walls. His defensive metrics were solid this year in Washington. Power play numbers were average there, so I don’t know if he got in the way of somebody, but he’ll get an opportunity here.
