Los Angeles Kings vs. Dallas Stars Prediction

The Los Angeles Kings have a tough task on Tuesday night as they take on the Dallas Stars. This will be the second game in two nights for the Kings as they beat the Carolina Hurricanes 5-2 on Monday.

Despite the success this season, holding down the fort in third place in the Pacific Division, the Kings have played brutal hockey recently. They’ve gone 2-4-4 in their last 10 games and have losses against the Detroit Red Wings, Washington Capitals, and other teams whom they shouldn’t be losing to.

That doesn’t take away from their impressive 21-11-8 record, but they could have been better in recent weeks. The Dallas Stars haven’t played much better, leading to an interesting contest.

On the season, the Stars have a 25-12-5 record and sit in third place in the Central Division and fifth place in the Western Conference. The 5-4-1 stretch in their last 10 has put them in a tough spot, but they’ve now won three out of their last four.

When at their best, Dallas is keeping the puck out of the net. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case for them all season. The Stars have given up 129 goals, which is in the bottom half of the Western Conference.

While the struggles have been obvious in the net, this is a good game for them to continue rolling. If they can come out and score how they have been all season, they’ll be in a perfect spot to win the game. Look for Jason Robertson, who has the 28th most points in hockey, to help lead this potent Stars offence.

Winnipeg Jets vs. New York Islanders Betting Tips

The New York Islanders have been one of the surprise teams of the 2023-24 NHL season. They enter play in the bottom half of the Metropolitan Division, but there’s reason for a positive outlook for Islanders fans.

On the season, they have one of the best offences in the NHL. With Mathew Barzal, Noah Dobson, and Bo Horvat consistently lighting the lamp and ranking in the top 38 in points. they’ve been a force to be reckoned with. However, The problem for them is that they’ve given up 141 goals.

While this defensive vulnerability is certainly a major concern and could play a huge factor in this game against the Winnipeg Jets, what the offence is going to be able to do could help them win this game.

Winnipeg enters play as the best team in the Central Division and has won eight out of their last 10 games. The reason for them playing this well is because they give up the least amount of goals in the NHL. They’ve given up just 97 goals, which is by far the fewest amount allowed.

Their offence has been decent, scoring 139 goals. They’re a balanced team, and given the struggles of the Islanders this season, backing them is the logical thing to do.

If New York could keep the puck out of the net, they’d be an elite team. The issue here is that the Jets are the best in the NHL at keeping the puck out of the net. The Jets’ ability to score will be a problem for the Islanders, as it’s been an issue for them all season.

Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Edmonton Oilers Betting Tip

The Edmonton Oilers have staged a remarkable turnaround after starting as one of the worst teams in hockey during the first few months. Much of that was due to injuries that they dealt with, but still, the team was one of the worst in the NHL.

Now, the Oilers enter play as the hottest team in hockey and have a real chance of completing the tasks that they’ve been looking to complete throughout the past few seasons, and that’s winning a Stanley Cup.

Those 10 wins have been because of what the Oilers have been able to do on the defensive side of the puck. In all of the wins besides two that they’ve had throughout this stretch, they’ve allowed two or fewer goals.

That’s always going to be a recipe for success for a team that can put the puck in the net the same way that the Oilers can.

With 138 goals and trending upwards, everybody is seeing what this offence can continue doing.

When you have the best offensive player that’s arguably ever played hockey in Connor McDavid, it’s going to be easy for it to flow. It’s all looked upwards recently for Edmonton, and if this continues, the struggling Toronto Maple Leafs could lose their fourth straight game.
