Toronto Maple Leafs vs New York Rangers Prediction

The Toronto Maple Leafs stay in New York on Tuesday as they take on the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. Toronto played the New York Islanders on Monday in New York, suffering a 4-3 loss.

While a difficult game for the Maple Leafs is evident on a back-to-back, their ability to play the hockey they have this season has been impressive. Betting against them isn’t an easy task, as they’ve gone 7-1-2 in their last ten games and have the fourth most points in the Eastern Conference.

The Rangers, however, are 19-6-1 and have arguably been the best team in the NHL this season. On the year, they’ve dominated on both ends. They have a +15 point differential, which is the best in the Metropolitan Division.

My reason for backing the Rangers is because of Igor Shesterkin. In his career, he’s 4-1-1 and has only allowed 2.15 goals per game while saving .934% of shots against the Maple Leafs.

Philadelphia Flyers vs Nashville Predators Betting Tips

The Philadelphia Flyers have been the surprise team of the season. Philadelphia has shown major improvements from last season, with a 15-10-2 record and the second-most points in the Metropolitan Division.

While the four straight wins have certainly helped their point total, the Flyers find themselves in a great position thus far.

They’ve beaten some great teams in their last four games, including the Pittsburgh Penguins twice, the Arizona Coyotes, and the Colorado Avalanche.

With no players in the top 50 of points scored this season, it’s been more of a balanced attack for the Flyers.

Travis Konecny has played well and leads the team with 23 points, but he has the 55th most in hockey. However, his 16 goals rank sixth in the league.

The Nashville Predators have one of the brightest futures in the NHL. With a 15-13 record and winners in seven of their last 10, the future looks to be now. This is a young team that’s only going to get better over time.

My main concern for them is their inability to keep the puck out of the net. Nashville has allowed 86 goals, which is the most allowed by any team with over 30 points in the Western Conference.

Due to the balanced scoring attack of Philadelphia, I’ll take them to win this game in a close contest.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs Vancouver Canucks Betting Tip

During their recent 4-5-1 stretch, the Tampa Bay Lightning have fallen in the standings. They’re currently in fifth place in the Atlantic Division and have a -7 point differential.

This wasn’t expected coming into the season for a team that has proven they can make the Stanley Cup during any season.

This season is clearly different, and the biggest reason why is that they arguably have the worst defence and goalie combination in hockey.

Tampa Bay has allowed 102 goals, which is the second most allowed in the Eastern Conference. It’s the third most in the entire league.

This has to be a major change if they want to start winning games.

The reason for backing Vancouver is because of what they do on both sides of the puck. This is a brutal match-up for Tampa Bay, as Vancouver has scored 107 goals and has only allowed 73.

With the way Vancouver can score, I don’t expect Tampa Bay to have a chance in this one.

Vancouver has four players in the top 12 in points, with JT Miller, Elias Pettersson, Quinn Hughes, and Brock Boeser leading the way.

This should be a high-scoring win for the Canucks.
