Carolina Panthers vs. Arizona Coyotes Prediction

The improving Arizona Coyotes have a difficult task on Monday as they take on the Florida Panthers at home. While Arizona has played better in recent weeks, going 6-4 in their last 10 games, beating a Panthers team on a four-game winning streak won’t be an easy task.

As Florida enters play with a 22-12-2 record, they have the second most points in the Atlantic Division and the third most in the Eastern Conference.

Their recent wins against the Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Rangers, and Vegas Golen Knights were all impressive. If they replicate similar play, which was highlighted by their ability to keep the puck out of the net, they should find themselves in a good position to win the game.

For the Coyotes, their wins have been just as impressive. The recent win against the Colorado Avalanche was the one that turned heads as they won 5-4 in overtime.

The Coyotes, still in fifth in the Central Division, have truly improved this season.

They were the worst team in hockey throughout the past few seasons and now have been competitive with a 19-14-2 record. As they continue impressing, it’s what they’ve done defensively. They’ve given up just 99 goals, the second-fewest in the Central Division.

Carolina Hurricanes vs. New York Rangers Betting Tips

The New York Rangers find themselves in a favourable position heading into 2024 with a record of 25-9-1. That includes their 7-3 record in their last 10 games. Everything has gone well for the Rangers.

They have recent wins over the Tampa Bay Lightning, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Boston Bruins. They’ve given up just one goal in two of those three games.

This isn’t anything new for the Rangers, as they’ve given up the second-fewest goals in the Metropolitan Division and the fourth-fewest in the Eastern Conference. That defence is backed up by a ridiculously talented offence that’s led by Artemi Panarin, who has 50 points, the third most in the NHL this season.

With the Rangers being one of the top teams in hockey, we also have to show respect to the Carolina Hurricanes. Carolina has 44 points, the second-most in the Metropolitan Division behind New York.

The Hurricanes’ scoring burst has favoured their team, as the defence hasn’t been as promising as hoped for.

They’ve given up 117 points, which is certainly an issue for the Hurricanes, who are one of the favourites to win the Stanley Cup. If they want to be the team they’re looking to be, they need to be much better on the defensive side of the puck.

Offensively, they’re one of the top teams in hockey. That’s led by Sebastian Aho, who has the 15th most points in the NHL with 42.

New York Islanders vs. Colorado Avalanche Betting Tip

The Colorado Avalanche are one of the toughest teams to beat in the NHL, and that’s evidenced by their 23-11-3 record. However, Colorado has a +23 points difference, which isn’t as impressive as it looks right now.

At +23, they have a 20-point differential between the Vancouver Canucks, who also have 49 points. It doesn’t take away anything from the Avalanche, and point differential isn’t the end-all-be-all, but it’s a bit concerning that there’s that much of a difference.

What’s been impressive for Colorado this season is their ability to score goals. They have scored 134 goals, the most in the Central Division, second-most in the Western Conference, and the second-most in the entire league.

Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, and Mikko Rantanen have been the reason for their success. MacKinnon has the second most points, Rantanen has the eighth most, and Makar has the 16th most in the NHL.

That offence will be put to the test as they take on a tough Islanders team. However, with this being a home game for Colorado, it’s tough to imagine the Islanders winning.

My reason for backing Colorado is due to New York’s 119 goals allowed. That’s the third most in the Metropolitan Division and a big issue for the Islanders as they take on a Colorado team that can score at will.
