Dallas Stars vs Tampa Bay Lightning Prediction, Spread

The Tampa Bay Lightning will take on the Dallas Stars on Monday night in Tampa Bay. This matchup features two teams that have a chance to win the Stanley Cup this season. At 10-10-5, the Lightning started the season slowly. However, this is a good team that’s going to figure it out eventually.

Dallas are 14-5-3 and enter with the fourth most points in all of the Western Conference. Dallas and Tampa Bay met on Saturday as the Stars came away with an 8-1 win. Joe Pavelski added to his top 30-point total with three total points.

Tampa Bay has put points up this season, that hasn’t been their issue at all. In fact, they currently boast five players among the top 30 point-scorers in the league. The issue for them is the amount of goals they’re giving up. Tampa Bay has allowed 93 goals, which is the highest number in the Eastern Conference and the second most throughout the league.

After what we saw from Dallas on Saturday, it’s clear that backing them is the logical thing to do. Their attack is too good for the Lighting to slow down, and Jake Oettinger should be good enough to secure a win.

Carolina Hurricanes vs Winnipeg Jets Betting Tips

The Winnipeg Jets continue to find ways to win, which shouldn’t be a surprise anymore. Year in and year out, the Jets have gotten better. It’s been an impressive ride for them thus far but they’ll be put to the test on Monday as they take on the Carolina Hurricanes.

Carolina enters play with 29 points, the second most in the Metropolitan Division. This will be a good test for both teams as they’ve been two of the best teams in the NHL this season. It will be interesting to see if the Jets have the capability to defeat a team as elite as the Hurricanes.

Mark Scheifele, Kyle Connor, Josh Morrissey, and others have been in top form for Winnipeg, potentially positioning the Jets for victories against any team. Considering Antti Raanta’s struggles, it’s tough to back the Hurricanes in this game. Statistically, he’s been one of the worst goalies in the NHL this season, allowing 3.47 goals per game and only saving .854% of shots. The struggles on the road have been evident, posting a .851% and allowing 3.97 goals per game.

With this all said, the Jets are most likely the best pick in this game. Connor Hellebuyck has played well and will play better than Raanta.

St. Louis Blues vs Vegas Golden Knights Betting Tip

The Monday night contest between the St. Louis Blues and Vegas Golden Knights could be one that ends in an upset. The Blues have struggled a bit this season, sitting with 25 points and a 12-10-1 record. Their -5 point differential indicates they might not be as impressive as their record shows. St. Louis have been playing .500 hockey throughout their last 10 and has been doing so for most of the season.

For Vegas, not much changes. This is arguably the best team in hockey, as they lead the Pacific Division and Western Conference in points with 36. Despite being the best team in hockey, there were concerns about not choosing St. Louis.

The Golden Knights haven’t been too dominant in their last 10 games, posting a 4-3-3 record throughout that span. They’ve now won two straight, but prior to this, it didn’t look great for Vegas.

If the Blues can come out with Robert Thomas and others finding ways to score goals, they have a chance in this game. It is logical to back the Golden Knights because of what Jordan Binnington has looked like in the back of the net. The Blues goalie has posted a .894 SV% and has given up 3.41 goals per game in road games.

His bad play isn’t nearly enough to stop the likes of Jack Eichel and Vegas.
