USA vs Denmark Moneyline Prediction
- Moneyline Pick: USA
Team USA cruised their way to a comfortable 5-1 victory over Latvia in the Olympic opener, and it wouldn’t be surprising if they deliver an even better result this time around.
The Stars and Stripes have a realistic chance of advancing to the knockout stage, with their next games against Germany and Denmark. The latter are a more favourable opponent and are widely expected to look overmatched here.

Looking beyond the 3-1 final score against Germany, the Danish Lions’ underlying performance was mixed. They lost despite allowing fewer shots (26 to 38) and winning more faceoffs (37 to 31).
However, Denmark took more penalties and struggled on the penalty kill. These issues are likely to be even more costly against Team USA.
The Danish Lions will probably fight hard, but they know they’re underdogs here, and they’re not expected to hang on for too long since the gap in talent is just too big. The Stars and Stripes should establish the lead early and never look back, ultimately cruising to an easy victory.
USA vs Denmark Player Prop
- Prop Bet: Brady Tkachuk over 0.5 goals
Brady Tkachuk broke the deadlock for Team USA in the Olympic opener at the 5:29 mark of the first period and was a constant threat in the final metres. Don’t be surprised if Tkachuk finds a way to score once again.
His elite blend of speed, physicality, and skill should pose a significant problem for a Denmark defence that’s not used to facing players of his calibre.
USA vs Denmark Same Game Parlay
- SGP: USA -3.5 + Over 5.5 goals + Jack Hughes over 0.5 points
Our three-leg parlay not only backs Team USA to win, but also to cover a sizable spread of 3.5 goals, just like they did against Latvia in the opener.
Latvia have even more NHL-based talent than Denmark, so it’s fair to say that the Stars and Stripes will be facing the weakest team in the group this time around. Anything other than a blowout American win would be a surprise.
If Team USA run up the score, this should also turn into a high-scoring affair. Denmark allowed three goals against Germany, but they should have all sorts of problems trying to slow down the Stars and Stripes’ elite attacking line.

Given that the Danish Lions gave up 26 shots against Germany but conceded three times, it’s hard to see them not allowing more goals – and shots – this time around.
We’re closing our parlay by backing Jack Hughes to get on the scoresheet. The 24-year-old playmaker, who’s under contract with the New Jersey Devils, delivered two assists in the win over Latvia and is expected to hold a top-six role once again.
He should be involved enough to find a way to either score or assist in a game where Team USA are overwhelming favourites.
USA vs Denmark Team News
USA Team News
The United States haven’t reported any injuries following their 5-1 victory over Latvia. Given how good and balanced their offence looked, with five players recording multi-point performances, don’t expect the Stars and Stripes to make too many changes to their lineup.
Players to watch include Jack Eichel (two assists), Quinn Hughes (two assists), Brock Nelson (two goals), and Tage Thompson (one goal). Given their impressive collection of attacking talent, Team USA should be in line to deliver another dominant performance against a weaker opponent.
Denmark Team News
Denmark didn’t look at their best in the 3-1 loss to Germany, but the team aren’t known for their depth, meaning that major lineup changes are unlikely.
They left the opener unscathed in terms of injuries, however, so at least they’ll be able to field the same players in their quest for their first victory in the Olympic campaign.
The player to watch is Oscar Fisker Molgaard, who currently plays for the Coachella Valley Firebirds and is under contract with the Seattle Kraken organisation. Molgaard has one assist in three games with Seattle, but he’s racked up seven goals and 22 total points in 36 outings with Coachella in the AHL.
