Toronto Maple Leafs vs Vegas Golden Knights Moneyline Prediction
- Moneyline Pick: Vegas Golden Knights
- Odds: -102 (Tonybet)
The Golden Knights have been one of the best teams early in the 2026-27 NHL regular season. They’re coming off a dominant Tuesday win, 6-2 over the Seattle Kraken, giving them two straight wins and a strong W3, L1 start to the campaign. They’re averaging 4.25 goals scored per game, so it’s clear where their power lies.
“There’s a lot of things to like about the effort tonight.”

The Maple Leafs have been inconsistent. Even though their overtime win over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday was a step in the right direction, they’ve gone W2, L2 to open the season while showing clear deficiencies on the blueline. With 2.75 goals for and 2.75 goals against per game so far, it’s unclear whether Toronto can go toe-to-toe with Vegas, but their early returns aren’t promising.
The goaltending matchup is another area where the Golden Knights seem to have an edge. Carter Hart has gone 2-1-0 with a 2.70 GAA and is likely to start, though Adin Hill (2.00 GAA) has been solid in his lone relief outing. The Maple Leafs have won both of Anthony Stolarz’s starts and have lost both of Sergei Bobrovsky’s, but either player would be a downgrade compared with Hart.
The Golden Knights, who have the home-ice advantage and one of the deadliest offences this season, face a Toronto team that have been inconsistent defensively and toothless offensively at times. While the Maple Leafs can put up a fight, Vegas are simply too strong on offence not to come away with a victory.
Toronto Maple Leafs vs Vegas Golden Knights Player Prop
- Prop Bet: Jack Eichel to score anytime
- Odds: +160 (Tonybet)
Victor Olofsson would’ve been the ideal pick for this selection after scoring his third and fourth goals of the 2026-27 season in the win over Seattle on Tuesday, but he left the game injured. Instead, I’m backing Jack Eichel to score given how involved he usually is in the Golden Knights’ offensive scheme.
10 total points from this trio 🤩🙌 #VegasBorn https://t.co/rmScr4Hgzw

Eichel has two goals this season, but he also has eight assists and leads the team with 10 points. Few forwards are as decisive or generate as much gravity on offence as Eichel, so he should take advantage of a Toronto defence that has been inconsistent.
Toronto Maple Leafs vs Vegas Golden Knights Same Game Parlay
- SGP: Over 5.5 goals + Jack Eichel over 0.5 points + William Nylander over 0.5 points
I’m backing the over on the 5.5-goal market since that line has hit in three of the Golden Knights’ four outings so far in the regular season – and the one time it didn’t, the game featured five total goals. The Maple Leafs’ defensive problems also favour the over, with their most recent encounter featuring nine total goals.

Expect Eichel and William Nylander to find a way to contribute on the scoresheet at some point throughout the game. While Eichel has registered a team-high 10 points for Vegas this season, Nylander has been the driving force on offence for Toronto. Nylander has recorded three goals and three assists, leading the Maple Leafs in goals, assists, and points so far.

Dakota Joshua (abdomen) is the one player listed as being closer to returning, whereas the rest of the injured players won’t be back before Halloween. That list features Max Domi (back), Cade Webber (elbow), William Villeneuve (knee), and Elvis Merzlikins (shoulder).

The potential loss of Olofsson, who suffered an injury in Tuesday’s win over the Kraken, could be a huge blow for the Golden Knights. But he’s not the only player nursing an injury on the Vegas roster, as they’re also missing Kai Uchacz, Ben Hemmerling, Raphael Lavoie, and Lukas Cormier due to undisclosed injuries. Alex Pietrangelo (hip) is out for the remainder of the 2026-27 season.
