We have another exciting slate of Premier League games this weekend, including a hotly anticipated showdown between Manchester City and Manchester United that’s sure to pack plenty of intrigue. Here are my best bets for Matchweek 27.

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Crystal Palace (Saturday, March 2)

Crystal Palace come into this match fresh from a victory in their last game. That 3-0 win over Burnley was the first for new manager Oliver Glasner and has given some life to the Palace fans who were suffering under the last regime.

We’ve seen both teams to score land in Spurs’ last nine home games in the league, with the team very capable of scoring themselves but also being rather weak defensively. With Palace coming into this in fine goalscoring form under Glasner, it’s likely we see both teams bag on Saturday.

Pick: Both teams to score (-141)

Luton Town vs. Aston Villa (Saturday, March 2)

You’re not getting plus money, but it’s hard to look past Aston Villa picking up three points this weekend. Luton have been full of hard work and commitment all season long but they’ve lost their last three games in the Premier League and their lack of real quality is beginning to show.

Aston Villa, meanwhile, sit fourth in the Premier League, have won three of their last four, and have a manager that has crafted a team that’s more than the sum of its parts. Expect a comfortable away win for Aston Villa.

Pick: Aston Villa (-132)

Burnley vs. AFC Bournemouth (Sunday, March 3)

It’s been seven Premier League games since Bournemouth’s last win, a 3-0 victory over Fulham. Since then, they’ve lost four games and drawn three and have slid down the table. However, they’ve scored in five of those seven games, with the only exceptions being games against Liverpool and Man City, the league’s two best teams.

Meanwhile, Burnley have lost six games, and tied two more since their last Premier League win. They’ve given up 22 goals in that time and have conceded 11 in their past three games. This is the perfect “get right” game for Bournemouth, and I fully expect them to pick up three points.

Pick: AFC Bournemouth (-104)

Manchester City vs. Manchester United (Sunday, March 3)

We all know the cycle with Man Utd by now: there show signs of growth, but just as things start to look better, it all collapses. This will be another case of “two steps forward, one step back.” They may only have had one defeat in 2024, but they are miles from the quality of Man City.

Man City have been leading at halftime in 13 of their 26 Premier League games this season, a league high, as well as in 10 of their 13 games at the Etihad. They also come into this match following a 6-2 demolition of Luton in the FA Cup and their confidence couldn’t be higher. They’ll take Man Utd apart with ease and it’s likely to follow the trend that most of their games at the Etihad do, by starting in the first half.

Pick: Man City/Man City (-159)

Sheffield United vs. Arsenal (Monday, March 4)

The final game of the week sees the Premier League’s bottom club, Sheffield United, face the team on the longest winning streak, Arsenal. This is only going to end one way. So far this season we’ve seen the Blades give up 2.53 goals per game and they’ve conceded three or more goals in each of their past three games.

Now they meet Arsenal, the second highest scoring team in the Premier League and it’s not going to be pretty. We’re going to see Arsenal’s talented attack pick apart Sheffield United’s backline and win by three or more goals. It’s worth noting Arsenal have scored 18 goals in their past four Premier League games, with three of those games being against teams in the top half.

Pick: Arsenal -2.5 (+125)
