Vegas Golden Knights vs Ottawa Senators Main Match Info

Vegas Golden Knights vs Ottawa Senators Moneyline Prediction

The Golden Knights are clear favourites ahead of this contest – and for good reason. Even though they suffered a disappointing 5-1 loss to the Utah Mammoth last time out, courtesy of Logan Cooley, who scored four of Utah’s five goals. But even if the team have dropped three of their last five contests – including overtime – it’s hard not to back them at home, where they hold a W5, L3, OT3 record.

The Senators are in a decent position in the Eastern Conference standings as well, as they enter Wednesday’s slate in sixth place with a W11, L7, OT4 record. They’ve also won nearly half of their away games in 2025-26 (W5, L4, OT2), but the tiredness generated by a road trip in a different time zone could conspire against them. This will be their fourth encounter on the West Coast, but the results have been uneven.

The Senators already had the tired legs in their 2-1 loss to the Kings on Monday, clearly feeling the effects of playing three games in four nights. The off night on Tuesday was much-needed, but it’s unclear whether Ottawa will have enough left in the tank to stop Vegas’ attack. The Golden Knights will use the advantage of playing at home to secure the win here.

Barbashev supplied all the offence the Golden Knights could muster in the 5-1 loss to the Mammoth on Monday, and that goal snapped his six-game goal drought. The winger, who has been skating in the first line of late, has been a consistent weapon for Vegas, and he represents a solid bet for scoring in a second straight contest.

The numbers support a potential backing of Barbashev. He has nine points (five goals, four assists) in 11 outings since the beginning of November, and the winger ranks fourth in goals (eight) and third in points (19) among Vegas skaters this season.

Vegas Golden Knights vs. Ottawa Senators Same Game Parlay

When looking at the ML, it’s clear that the Golden Knights should be a strong pick. They’re playing at home, where they own a decent record, and will be taking on a Senators team that will be playing a fourth straight game on the road.

Adding a relatively low-scoring goal tally would do wonders for an SGP. The Golden Knights average 3.09 goals scored per tilt, while their opponents also score at a decent rate (3.22). Even though neither should be considered a high-octane offence, there’s value on the 4.5-goal mark, which has been hit in three of Ottawa’s four games during the current road trip.

Last but not least, if the Golden Knights want to win, they’ll need Jack Eichel to be at his best. The star playmaker leads the team in points with 30 and has posted 11 points (two goals, nine assists) in 11 games this month.

Vegas Golden Knights vs Ottawa Senators Team News

Vegas Golden Knights

The Golden Knights will be without Mark Stone, who’s out for the rest of the 2025-26 season with a wrist injury, but he’s not the only absentee for Vegas. They’re also missing a few other regulars who would deliver a huge boost to the lineup on both ends of the ice.

They’re also without starting goaltender Adin Hill (lower body), playmaker William Karlsson (lower body), goaltender Carter Hart (suspension), blueliner Jeremy Lauzon (undisclosed), and centre Jakub Demek (undisclosed). Outside of Lauzon, neither of the players is expected back before December.

Ottawa Senators

The Senators are uncertain whether Brady Tkachuk (thumb) will be back for this clash, but a decision on his status will probably be made closer to the opening faceoff. Thomas Chabot (upper body) and Ridly Greig (undisclosed) are day-to-day and will be game-time decisions. There are no other notable absences in Ottawa.
