Brais Mendez has adjusted quicker than expected to MLS, and the former Celta Vigo playmaker didn’t waste time making an impact as a dynamic playmaker and scoring threat in the Crew’s midfield.
Mendez scored or assisted in each of his first four appearances with Columbus in all competitions, though that streak ended against Charlotte on Saturday. With three goals in five outings, he’s a solid bet to score again here.

We’re backing Columbus Crew to secure the three points at home in this matchup, but this shouldn’t be an easy win for the Crew. It wouldn’t be surprising if this game ends with both teams finding the back of the net and also with plenty of goals. The last two Montreal games have seen both teams find the back of the net, while three of the last four head-to-head meetings have also ended with that outcome.
As for the total in goals, two of the last three head-to-head contests have ended with three or more total goals. Considering that each of the last four Columbus games has had at least three goals, this line looks like an attainable one, especially if Montreal find a way to inflict damage on them.
