Columbus Crew vs CF Montreal Main Match Info

Columbus Crew vs CF Montreal Moneyline Prediction

Columbus Crew are coming off a subpar showing the last time out, suffering a 3-1 away defeat to Charlotte, and that result ended a five-game undefeated run across all competitions (W3, D2). The Crew have dropped just two of their last 10 matches overall, and their home record has been impressive as well since they’ve lost just two of their last 10 contests in this venue, including the Leagues Cup (W6, D2, L2).

CF Montreal haven’t been nearly as good as Columbus in recent weeks, and their results have been subpar at best. They enter this game having gone winless in their last five contests since the end of the 2026 FIFA World Cup (D3, L2), and they’ve recorded back-to-back draws against New England (2-2) and DC United (1-1). The last time Montreal secured a win in MLS play was May 9, when they snatched a 2-0 win over Orlando City SC.

At least on paper, it’s hard to see a struggling Montreal team to secure the win on the road against Columbus. The Crew have gone undefeated in seven of their last eight at home across all competitions (90 mins: W5, D2, L1), and Montreal have lost seven of their 10 competitive games on the road in 2026 (W2, D1, L7).

The home/away splits are too telling to ignore, so I’m backing Columbus to take advantage of the visitors’ woes on the road and keep the three points at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field.

Columbus Crew vs CF Montreal Player Prop

Brais Mendez has adjusted quicker than expected to MLS, and the former Celta Vigo playmaker didn’t waste time making an impact as a dynamic playmaker and scoring threat in the Crew’s midfield.

Mendez scored or assisted in each of his first four appearances with Columbus in all competitions, though that streak ended against Charlotte on Saturday. With three goals in five outings, he’s a solid bet to score again here.

Columbus Crew vs CF Montreal Same Game Parlay

We’re backing Columbus Crew to secure the three points at home in this matchup, but this shouldn’t be an easy win for the Crew. It wouldn’t be surprising if this game ends with both teams finding the back of the net and also with plenty of goals. The last two Montreal games have seen both teams find the back of the net, while three of the last four head-to-head meetings have also ended with that outcome.

As for the total in goals, two of the last three head-to-head contests have ended with three or more total goals. Considering that each of the last four Columbus games has had at least three goals, this line looks like an attainable one, especially if Montreal find a way to inflict damage on them. On that note, it’s worth mentioning that CF Montreal have scored at least once on the road in three of their past four away fixtures.

Columbus Crew vs CF Montreal Team News

Columbus Crew Team News

Columbus will be weakened in the attacking third since they’re missing Wessam Abou Ali (knee) and Jamal Thiare (ankle) due to fitness issues. Plus, Sekou Bangoura is dealing with an undisclosed injury and is not expected to be available soon. There are no other changes for Columbus Crew.

Aside from being weakened in the attack, they should be strong in other areas.

CF Montreal Team News

CF Montreal turned heads following the signing of Alexis Sanchez, but fans will have to wait a bit more to see him in action. The all-time leading scorer in the Chile national team isn’t ready to play yet.

Montreal are also waiting on fitness updates on players such as Frankie Amaya (lower body), Bode Hidalgo (groin) and Efrain Morales (toe) to see if they’ll feature. Wikelman Carmona (knee) has been ruled out.
