Toronto FC vs CF Montreal Main Match Info

Toronto FC vs CF Montreal Moneyline Prediction

Toronto FC went into the international break on three straight league losses, but all three came on the road. At BMO Field, the Reds are unbeaten in five league matches (W2, D3). They sit 13th in the Eastern Conference with 29 points from 27 games (W6, D11, L10), and their home xG of 1.50 against an xGA of 1.42 shows they create slightly more than they concede in Toronto.

CF Montreal arrive in better form after securing a 3-1 victory over FC Cincinnati on September 26 and defeating the Vancouver Whitecaps in the Canadian Championship semis on September 16, giving them two wins in their last three competitive fixtures. Even so, they are last in the Eastern Conference standings with 24 points from 27 matches (W6, D6, L15). Their road record is worse still (W2, D1, L10).

The Reds have also avoided defeat in their last three home meetings with Montreal (W1, D2), and I’m backing them to extend that run with a win. With two away wins all season and 2.0 goals conceded per game, Le CFM are poorly placed to end Toronto’s unbeaten home streak.

Toronto FC vs CF Montreal Player Prop

Josh Sargent is our standout prop. He has gone four league matches without a goal, but he scored four times in the three before that and has seven goals in 20 MLS appearances this season. He averages 0.95 shots on target per game.

The matchup is favourable. Montreal have the second-worst defence in the Eastern Conference (54 goals allowed, 2.0 per match), and starting centre-backs Brayan Vera and Brayan Ceballos are both doubtful. If Toronto control possession at home and get the ball into the box, Sargent should get enough chances to end his drought.

Toronto FC vs CF Montreal Same Game Parlay

We expect a tight, open derby settled by a 1-1 or 2-1 scoreline. Each of Toronto’s 15 home matches across all competitions in 2026 has seen both teams find the back of the net. BTTS has also landed in six of Montreal’s last nine away fixtures and seven of the last 10 head-to-head meetings.

I don’t expect a goal-fest, though. Four of the last five head-to-heads finished under 3.5 total goals, as did three of Toronto’s last four league games and four of Montreal’s last five across all competitions.

Corners complete the parlay. Toronto average 4.8 corners per game this MLS season, while Le CFM average 4.9. The Reds’ matches average 10.3 total corners and Montreal’s 9.3. In a derby where both sides commit players forward, they only need to match their season averages to clear 8.5.

Toronto FC vs CF Montreal Team News

Toronto FC Team News

Toronto had several players away on international duty during the break, including Richie Laryea, Richard Chukwu, Benjamin Kuscevic, and Markus Cimermancic. However, they shouldn’t have trouble reporting back in time for this fixture.

Key playmaker Djordje Mihailovic (hamstring) and centre-back Kuscevic (undisclosed) are dealing with injuries, but recent reports suggest both should be available Saturday.

CF Montreal Team News

Le CFM are expected to have star striker Prince Osei-Owusu available after he returned from a knee injury. The forward, who has 15 goals and six assists this season, was spotted in training Tuesday and is likely to lead the line this weekend.

Apart from the returning internationals, Montreal’s only doubts are in defence: Brayan Vera (lower body), Bode Hidalgo (groin) and Brayan Ceballos (lower body). Vera and Ceballos are both first-choice starters when fit.
