Spain vs Belgium Moneyline Prediction
- Moneyline Pick: Spain
- Odds: -157 (Tonybet)
Spain needed a goal in second-half stoppage time to secure a tight 1-0 win over Portugal in the Round of 16, as Mikel Merino’s sharp run inside the box following a set-up from Ferran Torres pushed La Roja into the quarterfinals. The team have looked more convincing with each passing game and have yet to concede a single goal in five matches.
Belgium delivered their best performance of the campaign in the Round of 16, thrashing the United States 4-1 after barely getting past Senegal in the Round of 32. The Red Devils haven’t looked nearly as dominant as Spain, but they remain unbeaten through five games and have been trending in the right direction offensively. Across their last three encounters, Belgium have scored 12 goals.
However, La Roja have already kept clean sheets against Portugal and Uruguay, so they know a thing or two about containing elite opposition. Even if Belgium field their best XI here after rotating against the USA, their defence is suspect at best and is unlikely to contain Spain. La Roja should come out on top in this battle of undefeated sides and progress to the quarterfinals.
Spain vs Belgium Player Prop
- Prop Bet: Mikel Oyarzabal to score anytime
- Odds: +127 (Tonybet)
Lamine Yamal is always a threat, but the Barcelona winger has found the back of the net just once at this tournament. Instead, we’re backing Mikel Oyarzabal, as the Real Sociedad striker has already tallied four goals while spearheading nearly every attack. His intelligent movement should cause all sorts of problems for a slow Belgium defensive line.
Spain vs Belgium Same Game Parlay
- SGP: Under 2.5 goals + Over 7.5 corners + Both teams not to score
- Odds: +230 (Tonybet)
Don’t be surprised if this ends up being a low-scoring affair. Spain have yet to concede a goal through five World Cup matches, and three of those games have featured under 1.5 total goals. The two exceptions were comfortable wins over Saudi Arabia (W 4-0) and Austria (W 3-0). Belgium, meanwhile, have struggled against well-organised defences.
On the same note, we expect both teams not to score. Unai Simón’s unbeaten run aside, Spain have looked excellent defensively, and Belgium have had trouble getting past composed defences such as Egypt and Iran. While the Red Devils have improved offensively in recent outings, it’s difficult to see them inflicting damage on a La Roja side that should also dominate possession.
We’re also backing over 7.5 corners. Spain have earned at least seven corners in their two knockout-stage wins over Austria and Portugal, and at least six in every game so far. That gives this line a solid floor, especially with Belgium averaging 4.6 corners per World Cup match while regularly attacking down the flanks through the pace of players such as Leandro Trossard and Jeremy Doku.

Spain aren’t dealing with any significant injuries and are widely expected to remain unchanged for this contest, as manager Luis De La Fuente has fielded the exact same XI in both knockout-stage matches.

The only real selection question is at right-back, with Pedro Porro and Marcos Llorente competing for the starting role. There is also competition in midfield, with Fabian Ruiz, Merino, and Dani Olmo all vying for a spot alongside Rodri and Pedri.
Belgium Team News
Belgium rested several regulars for the Round of 16 game against the United States, including Kevin De Bruyne and Doku, who are expected to be available and start in this clash.

Amadou Onana suffered a torn ACL and won’t return to play until next year, while Sporting CB defender Zeno Debast is also unlikely to feature. Romelu Lukaku, who has already scored three goals, is expected to begin on the bench, with Charles De Ketelaere getting another start. The Atalanta forward scored a brace against the USMNT.
