Canada vs Czech Republic Moneyline Prediction
- Moneyline Pick: Canada
Canada cruised to an easy win in their tournament opener, beating Switzerland 4-0 on Friday, February 7. However, it wouldn’t have been surprising had the Canucks won by a larger margin.
They held an edge of 55-6 in shots and went 3-for-5 in the power play. They could’ve run up the score further had they been more accurate in five-on-five situations.
Facing the Czech Republic might be their toughest test in the group stage, aside from the pending matchup against the United States.

Team Czechia suffered back-to-back losses to the USA and Switzerland, with the latter ending in a 4-3 shootout loss after they held a 3-1 lead, but they bounced back with a 2-0 win over Finland. They need to win here to have any shot at progressing further.
That scenario looks extremely unlikely. Given the Canucks’ offensive power and how much the Czechs struggled against Team USA, any outcome other than an easy Canada win would be surprising. They’ve won by at least four goals in four of their previous five head-to-head meetings against Czechia, and that shouldn’t change here.
Canada vs Czech Republic Player Prop
- Prop Bet: Daryl Watts over 0.5 goals
Daryl Watts found the back of the net in the win against Switzerland, and it wouldn’t be shocking if she were to score in this one as well.
With her top-six role and power-play usage, Watts should have plenty of chances to score in a clash where Canada are highly likely to dominate and create tons of chances from the get-go.

The numbers also back Watts’ potential involvement ahead of this contest. Aside from debuting with a goal in her first Olympic appearance, she scored four goals at the 2025 World Championships.
She is also fresh off a 2024-25 season with the Toronto Sceptres in the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL), where she posted 27 points in 30 games.
Canada vs Czech Republic Same Game Parlay
- SGP: Canada -3.5 + Over 4.5 goals + Marie-Philip Poulin over 0.5 goals
Our three-leg parlay not only backs a Canada win, but also expects them to win by at least four goals. That line landed in their tournament opener against Switzerland, and it could very well happen again here.
The gulf in talent between these two sides is just too great, and the Czechs have already allowed at least three goals in regulation against both Team USA and Switzerland.
The -3.5 spread suggests a high-scoring game. It’s hard to see Team Czechia scoring, instead Canada should be more efficient in front of goal.

A four-goal outcome out of 55 shots is far from ideal, so look for the Canucks to be a threat offensively once again. They’ve scored at least five goals in three of their last five meetings with the Czechs.
Last but not least, we’re backing Marie-Philip Poulin to find the back of the net. She registered an assist and four shots on goal in the opener and should have plenty of opportunities to score again here.
Canada vs Czech Republic Team News
Canada Team News
Canada don’t have any injury concerns after they emerged unscathed following their win over Switzerland. It was a brilliant offensive performance from the Canucks, and they’re not expected to tweak their lines too much in a game where they should dominate once again.
Canada’s second line of Daryl Watts, Sarah Nurse, and Sarah Fillier certainly stood out in the opener, as the trio of forwards combined for two goals and three assists. Watts and Fillier each recorded a goal and an assist, and they’ll look to continue that in another favourable matchup.
Czech Republic Team News
The Czech Republic didn’t suffer any injuries in their first two games of the tournament, so they won’t have any absences here. Given that they’re going to be at full strength while coming off a win, it’s hard to imagine many line changes for the Czechs here, although their approach might be a bit more conservative.
If they’re to pull off an upset here, which is unlikely, they’ll need all their players at the top of their game, and Natalie Mlynkova will be their main threat on offence. She’s scored in the Czechs’ first two outings in the current Olympic run.
