Edmonton Oilers vs Toronto Maple Leafs Moneyline Prediction
- Moneyline Pick: Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers saw their three-game winning streak come to an end with a blowout 7-3 loss to the Minnesota Wild, though they had been far from dominant during that stretch.
While they did secure three wins in a row over the Capitals, Ducks, and Sharks, two of them came in overtime.
These last four encounters are a fair reflection of the Oilers’ season as a whole, as they’ve looked excellent on offence but below-average (at best) defensively.
The team have a good chance to get back to winning ways, as the Maple Leafs are a favourable matchup for Edmonton, especially given their season-long defensive woes.

Toronto not only rank 27th in goals allowed per game in 2025-26 (3.41), but they’re also 13th in goals scored (3.25), a step down from the offensive heights they reached earlier in the campaign. At least they’ve won twice in a row, defeating the Flames and Canucks in their road trip through Canada, but the tired legs could become an issue at some point.
This will be the Maple Leafs’ fourth consecutive road outing and the second leg of a back-to-back after their 4-2 win over the Flames. Against a red-hot Oilers offence, tired legs are likely to show. Edmonton should take advantage of this situation to secure a home victory.
Edmonton Oilers vs Toronto Maple Leafs Player Prop
- Prop Bet: Leon Draisaitl over 0.5 assists
The Oilers’ calling card this season has been their offensive prowess, and one of the team’s most reliable scoring threats has been Leon Draisaitl. The star playmaker has recorded 51 assists, the fourth-best mark in the NHL, including nine over his last four outings.
Look for Draisaitl to deliver another impressive performance in the scoring column, as he enters this matchup on a four-game point streak, tallying 11 points (two goals, nine assists) over that stretch.
He should exploit the Maple Leafs’ defensive woes to rack up at least one more helper in a clash where the Oilers are massive favourites on paper.
Edmonton Oilers vs Toronto Maple Leafs Same Game Parlay
- SGP: Connor McDavid over 2.5 shots + Leon Draisaitl over 0.5 assists + Evan Bouchard over 0.5 assists
Our three-leg parlay relies heavily on Edmonton, focusing on three Oilers who have been playing at a very high level. The first one is Draisaitl, who has posted nine assists over his last four appearances and should find a way to cause problems for a Maple Leafs defence that has allowed 3.41 goals per game.
Connor McDavid is another player who’s highly likely to produce, as he’s one of the most prolific players in the NHL with a league-high 95 points this season.
Even if he doesn’t score, McDavid should be a constant threat in the offensive zone. The line of over 2.5 shots looks attainable for a player who’s averaging 3.71 shots on goal per game in 2025-26.

Last but not least, Evan Bouchard has a good chance of making an impact as well. The blueliner doesn’t get a lot of attention as a scoring threat, but it’s safe to say he’s going through his most prolific stretch of the campaign.
He delivered an assist in the loss to Minnesota and is riding a five-game point streak with 12 (four goals, eight helpers) over that span.
Edmonton Oilers vs Toronto Maple Leafs Team News
Edmonton Oilers Team News
The Oilers are close to full strength here. As has been the trend of late, their lone absence will be Adam Henrique, who’s on the LTIR list and isn’t expected to be available until after the Olympic break.
The rest of the players are available and ready to go, meaning Edmonton shouldn’t see major changes in their lineup or defensive pairings any time soon.
Toronto Maple Leafs Team News
The Maple Leafs have announced that Morgan Rielly will remain sidelined until after the Olympic break as he continues to work his way back from an upper-body injury. While there was optimism that he could return sooner, the team are taking a safe approach.
Chris Tanev (groin) and Dakota Joshua (upper body) are also out until after the Olympics.
