Toronto Raptors vs Oklahoma City Thunder Moneyline Prediction

The Thunder have been dealing with injuries to key players, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) and Jalen Williams (hamstring) sidelined since before the All-Star break. That didn’t slow them down on Sunday, however, as they secured a victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, one of the hottest sides in the NBA

The Thunder remain the top seed in the Western Conference, and this tough stretch will test how resilient they can be without their best players. The numbers back them up, as they’ve won four of their last five games.

The Raptors are coming off a victory as well, although they didn’t have to work too hard to beat a Milwaukee Bucks squad still missing Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf).

Toronto have posted a 5-2 record since the beginning of February, and now that they’re mostly healthy, they should definitely be one of the teams to watch in the Eastern Conference.

Despite the uptick in performance, the Raps might fall short on their quest to pull off an upset here. They’ve gone 16-13 at home this season, while the Thunder are an NBA-best 20-7 on the road. OKC should find a way to get the job done as they get more and more comfortable playing without their star players.

Brandon Ingram should carry the Raptors offensively regardless of whether Barnes (personal) is available Tuesday or not.

The star forward posted 22 points in Sunday’s win over the Bucks, making it the 10th time he’s scored at least 20 points in his last 16 appearances. Over that stretch, Ingram is averaging a robust line of 22.8 points, 4.9 boards, 3.8 assists, 2.2 threes, 0.9 blocks, and 0.9 steals per game.

Toronto Raptors vs Oklahoma City Thunder Same Game Parlay

Our three-leg parlay backs a Thunder win. While the -1.5 spread suggests the game will be close, OKC’s depth and versatility should prove too much for a Toronto team that have yet to find true consistency on both ends of the court – even if they’ve been improving of late.

We’re also backing a low-scoring affair. With arguably the three best players across both rosters potentially sidelined, the scoring ceiling is reduced. Moreover, these two sides have been solid defensively all season.

The Thunder rank first in defensive rating (106.1), while the Raptors are fifth (111.7).

Last but not least, we believe Chet Holmgren will be OKC’s go-to player and should be an asset on both ends of the court. The star big man, who has been carrying a bigger role on offence without Gilgeous-Alexander and Williams, is coming off a 17-point, 15-rebound effort against Cleveland. He’s posted five double-doubles over his last seven appearances.

Toronto Raptors Team News

The Raptors are close to full strength now that Jakob Poeltl is back in the mix following the All-Star break. The big man came off the bench against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday and was in the starting lineup against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.

Their only concern is the availability of Scottie Barnes, who missed Sunday’s win over the Bucks due to a personal matter and is uncertain for Tuesday. If Barnes is unable to suit up, then look for Brandon Ingram and RJ Barrett to carry most of the workload on offence.

Oklahoma City Thunder Team News

The Thunder continue to navigate a complicated stretch from an injury perspective. They were without Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) and Caruso (ankle) in Sunday’s win over the Cavaliers. Gilgeous-Alexander remains out, but Caruso is carrying a questionable tag.

Two other valuable contributors, Jalen Williams (hamstring) and Ajay Mitchell (ankle), are also unavailable, leaving Oklahoma City thin in terms of reliable scoring options.

Chet Holmgren is one player who will need to step up, and he’s coming off a double-double in the win over the Cavaliers, making it the fifth time he’s achieved that goal in the last seven contests.
