Denver Nuggets vs Minnesota Timberwolves Main Match Info

Denver Nuggets vs Minnesota Timberwolves Moneyline Prediction

The Nuggets came agonizingly close to securing a win over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday, but a late three-pointer from Peyton Watson bounced in and out of the rim as time expired.

That loss means the team have dropped two of their last three fixtures, but they should be motivated by a return home for Christmas. Denver have taken advantage of the altitude at Ball Arena, going 9-5 while winning three of their last four contests.

The Timberwolves, on the other hand, are trending in the right direction, and their winning streak reached three games following an impressive 115-104 home victory over the New York Knicks on Tuesday.

That win means they’ve come out on top in four of their last five encounters and appear to be hitting their stride now that Anthony Edwards is healthy and back in the mix. They’ve also gone 8-5 on the road this season.

One would think the Nuggets have a clear edge since they’re playing at home, but the Timberwolves have really been their kryptonite.

Minnesota have won five of their last six outings at this venue between the regular season and the playoffs, and it’s hard to see Denver finding a way to slow Anthony Edwards down.

On the back of their star guard, the Timberwolves should have enough in them to come out on top here and keep their winning streak alive.

Denver Nuggets vs Minnesota Timberwolves Player Prop

Recent meetings between the Nuggets and Timberwolves have been high-scoring, and nothing suggests this contest will end that streak. Four of their last five encounters have produced at least 235 total points, while the over 237.5 line has been cleared in two of the last three at Ball Arena.

Denver Nuggets vs Minnesota Timberwolves Same Game Parlay

Our three-leg parlay leans on Anthony Edwards making a significant impact and playing a star role in carrying the Timberwolves to victory. He knows a thing or two about defeating the Nuggets and is no stranger to filling out the stat sheet against them.

Edwards has averaged 30.4 points, 6.6 assists, and 5.4 rebounds in his last five appearances against Denver. He’s also coming off a 38-point performance in Tuesday’s win over the Knicks.

We’re also backing the Timberwolves to cover the +4.5 spread, which comes as little surprise given that we’re also tipping them to get the victory despite playing away from home.

Their dominance against the Nuggets in recent years simply can’t get overlooked. Minnesota’s impressive run of five wins across their last six games is a good omen of what they can accomplish as well.

Last but not least, we’re hitting the over in the points market. Matchups between the Nuggets and the Timberwolves have been high-scoring, and with the abundance of offensive talent at both ends, all signs point toward this trend continuing here.

The fact that four of the last five meetings between these two teams have produced at least 235 total points suggests that another high-scoring contest is clearly on tap here.

Denver Nuggets vs Minnesota Timberwolves Team News

Denver Nuggets Team News

Cameron Johnson suffered a knee injury in the loss to the Mavericks on Tuesday, and head coach David Adelman said further tests will be needed to determine whether the forward will be available or not.

The Nuggets are already thin in terms of forward depth. They’re without Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and Christian Braun (ankle), and neither will be available before the end of the year. Tamar Bates is dealing with a foot injury and is also out, but he won’t be an option to return to the hardwood until January at the earliest.

Minnesota Timberwolves Team News

Joe Ingles is questionable for Thursday’s contest while dealing with personal issues. Jaden McDaniels is also questionable with a hip injury. Both players will be assessed, though a final call on their status won’t come until a few hours before the 10:30 p.m. ET tip-off.
