San Antonio Spurs vs New York Knicks Moneyline Prediction
- Moneyline Pick: San Antonio Spurs
It’s now or never for the San Antonio Spurs. After blowing a 29-point lead in the second half of Game 4, they went from being on the verge of tying the series to trailing 1-3 following a 107-106 loss on Wednesday.
They return home for the next clash, but having lost the first two games of the Finals there, they need to clean up their mistakes and close games out more effectively before it’s too late.
The Spurs have built double-digit leads in every encounter of the series, highlighting how competitive this matchup has been. Credit must go to the Knicks for repeatedly battling back.

They hold an edge over San Antonio in points (107.0 to 105.0) and rebounds (44.5 to 43.8) per game, but the margins are minimal. Another tightly contested battle looks likely.
The Spurs could easily have at least one more win in the series if not for a handful of costly mistakes. Mitch Johnson’s men are likely to get off to a strong start once again, but after failing to hold on to their lead in Game 4, they should be better prepared to close things out.
Look for the Spurs to come out on top and force a Game 6 at Madison Square Garden next Tuesday.
San Antonio Spurs vs New York Knicks Player Prop
- Prop Bet: Victor Wembanyama over 27.5 points
Wembanyama missed two clutch free throws in the fourth quarter of Game 4, but even though he’s committed a few blunders throughout the series, he remains the Spurs’ go-to option on offence.
In his previous outing, he posted 24 points (9-25 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-7 FT), 13 rebounds, three blocks, and one assist across 44 minutes.
The star big man has cleared the 27.5-point line twice in the series, though he’s averaging 27.8 points per game despite shooting 43.5% from the floor and 78.4% from the charity stripe. With the Spurs having their backs against the wall, look for Wembanyama to step up and extend the series for another game.
San Antonio Spurs vs New York Knicks Same Game Parlay
- SGP: Stephon Castle over 16.5 points + Karl-Anthony Towns under 3.5 assists + Josh Hart over 8.5 rebounds
Stephon Castle was limited to just 13 points on 2-for-7 shooting in his previous appearance, but that came after a 23-point performance in Game 3.
Overall, the second-year guard has cleared the 16.5-point line twice in the series, and he’s been far more productive than De’Aaron Fox. Look for Castle to be heavily involved on offence once again.
We’re also targeting Karl-Anthony Towns to stay under his assists total. Even though he dazzled as a playmaker in previous rounds, he’s been limited to four or fewer assists in each game of the series, with three combined dimes in the last two.
FOURTH QUARTER UP NEXT!

He hasn’t been the same facilitating presence against San Antonio, making the under an appealing option.
One Knicks player who should go over his line is Josh Hart in the rebounding category. One of the NBA’s best rebounding forwards, Hart has grabbed at least eight boards in three games of this series and is averaging 9.5 rebounds per contest in the Finals. The 8.5-rebound line certainly looks within his reach.
San Antonio Spurs vs New York Knicks Team News
San Antonio Spurs Team News
The Spurs will have a fully healthy group to choose from and won’t be carrying any fresh injuries into Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
The biggest doubt lies in who will start in the backcourt amid De’Aaron Fox’s recent struggles, but the veteran should continue in the starting five next to Stephon Castle, with Dylan Harper playing off the bench.
New York Knicks Team News
The Knicks don’t have any injury concerns ahead of this pivotal matchup on Saturday.
Given that they’ve already won the first two games in San Antonio during this series, head coach Mike Brown isn’t expected to alter his rotation too much, though players like Jose Alvarado and Landry Shamet should continue to see heavy minutes off the bench due to their three-point shooting ability.
