We’re backing the Lakers to get the win, and for that to happen, they’ll need a massive performance from Luka Doncic. The star guard didn’t play in Tuesday’s loss to the Suns due to a left leg contusion, but he should be fully fit and ready to go on Thursday. 

The Lakers need him if they want to have a shot at snapping their losing skid.

Doncic has shown the ability to step up in big games time and time again, and this matchup shouldn’t be any different. He’s scored at least 31 points in four of his six appearances in December, so there should be plenty of value in this line. 

On the season, he’s averaging a robust 34.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per encounter. He’ll need to have full control to lead the Lakers to a much-needed win at home.

Last but not least, we’re backing LeBron James to fill up the stat sheet. He’s taken on a secondary role on offence behind Doncic and Reaves, but he’s still capable of lighting up the scoreboard when needed, especially in big games.
