Toronto Raptors vs Charlotte Hornets Main Match Info

Toronto Raptors vs Charlotte Hornets Moneyline Prediction

The Raptors have been one of the most surprising teams in the Eastern Conference this season and sit in third place with a 15-8 record. However, they’ve also started to show signs that the strong start to the campaign won’t be sustainable.

Toronto are going through their worst stretch of the calendar in terms of results and have lost three of the last four, including Thursday’s game against the Lakers.

This is the second leg of a back-to-back for the Raptors, but even though they’re probably going to be tired, they should have enough quality to get past the Hornets. Charlotte have won just six of their 22 outings this season and enter this fixture fresh off a 119-104 loss to the New York Knicks on Wednesday.

They’re going to be more rested overall, but that’s perhaps the lone advantage they’ll have in this contest.

The Hornets have lost two in a row, including a defeat to the lowly Brooklyn Nets earlier this week, and three of their last five encounters, so they’re not exactly going through a strong run of form.

The Raptors need to bounce back from their recent setbacks and will rely on their home-court advantage to do so. Toronto have gone 8-3 at home, while the Hornets have won just one of 11 road games this season.

Toronto Raptors vs Charlotte Hornets Player Prop

If the Raptors are going to snap their negative run of results, then Brandon Ingram is one of several players who need to step up.

The star forward posted 20 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in the loss to the Lakers on Thursday. He’s gone four straight appearances without reaching the 23-point plateau, but Ingram should take advantage of a favourable fixture to do so this time around.

Ingram is averaging 22.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per encounter over his last 10 contests, shooting 44.5 percent from the floor and 34 percent from beyond the arc.

The likely absence of RJ Barrett (knee) means Ingram should continue to handle a big workload on offence, and he should be in line for a dominant effort when facing a Charlotte defence that has endured significant struggles on the road in 2025-26.

Even the individual matchup suggests that Ingram should be in line for a big game. He’ll probably spend most of the contest paired with rookie Kon Knueppel, who’s an excellent shooter but not as good on the defensive end of the court.

With that in mind, don’t be surprised if Ingram goes off Friday, as the Raptors need him at his best to get back to winning ways.

Toronto Raptors vs Charlotte Hornets Same Game Parlay

The Raptors are favourites here, and the Hornets own a negative 1-10 record away from home. Still, Toronto’s tired legs could work against them on Friday. This might end up being a closer game than the records indicate, with the back-to-back playing a factor against the Canadian side.

Charlotte aren’t known for being an elite offence, and the Raptors will be tired, so this might be a low-scoring affair. Each of the Hornets’ last three outings has ended with 230 total points or fewer.

Jamal Shead has also been added with the under on his assists line. The second-year floor general has dished out five or fewer assists in four of his last five appearances.

Toronto Raptors vs Charlotte Hornets Team News

Toronto Raptors Team News

The Raptors could see the return of Jakob Poeltl, who didn’t play Thursday against the Lakers due to rest. RJ Barrett is expected to remain sidelined with a nagging knee injury, while Ochai Agbaji (personal) is also likely to be out.

Charlotte Hornets Team News

The Hornets are listing LaMelo Ball as probable due to a wrist injury, so the star floor general should be able to play and handle his regular workload. However, Brandon Miller (shoulder), Tre Mann (ankle), and Ryan Kalkbrenner (ankle) are all questionable and should be considered game-time decisions. Miller and Kalkbrenner are regular starters.

The list of absentees doesn’t end there for the Hornets. Josh Green (shoulder), Collin Sexton (thigh), Grant Williams (knee), and Pat Connaughton (calf) are all out due to injuries.
