York United played an exceptional game in their win against Vancouver on April 27. Martin Nash’s team overcame their opponents’ pressure with long diagonal passes to the flanks, which allowed Mexican rookies Juan Córdova and Orlando Botello to create dangerous opportunities. At the same time, Austin Ricci and Brian Wright opened up in the opponents’ penalty area, with Wright bagging two goals. Additionally, team leader Molham Babouli made aggravating passes from deep. On defence, holding midfielders Brem Soumaoro and Elijah Adekugbe effectively helped their partners by blocking threats before they reached the penalty box.

This match was a model match for York, and this kind of play may bring success this season.

However, they have faced some problems in other matches, such as their lack of execution in games against Atletico Ottawa and Pacific, in which players like Austin Ricci and Brian Wright struggled to convert their chances.
