St. Louis Blues vs Toronto Maple Leafs Main Match Info

St. Louis Blues vs Toronto Maple Leafs Moneyline Prediction

This is a crucial clash for the Blues in terms of their playoff positioning. The team have 71 points from 71 games (W30, L30, OT11), but they seem to be trending in the right direction after winning seven of their last 10 outings (W7, L1, OT2).

Their overtime victory over the San Jose Sharks on Thursday extended their current streak to three wins, and St. Louis must keep that momentum going to maintain their playoff hopes.

The same can’t be said about the Maple Leafs. They’re coming off back-to-back wins against the New York Rangers and Boston Bruins, but they’ve won just four of their last 10 encounters overall (W4, L4, OT2).

With Toronto sitting 12 points behind the final Wild Card spot with nine games left on their schedule, it’s only a matter of time before they get eliminated from playoff contention.

With different things at stake, and with the Maple Leafs set to be without one of their best players in Auston Matthews (knee), it’s difficult to see Toronto coming away with a win on the road.

Dylan Holloway was the standout performer for the Blues in Thursday’s 2-1 win over the Sharks, scoring the game-winning goal and adding an assist as well.

Holloway has three goals over his last five outings and has posted impressive numbers since the Olympic break, recording 17 points (eight goals, nine assists) and a plus-19 rating in 14 appearances.

St. Louis Blues vs Toronto Maple Leafs Same Game Parlay

The Maple Leafs have struggled defensively all season long and enter this matchup with the third-worst defence in the NHL, with 3.44 goals conceded per game. Even though they’re better offensively, the absence of Matthews is a major blow that further weakens an offence that already ranks 15th in goals per game (3.12).

As a result, the Blues shouldn’t have trouble securing a comfortable win.

We also expect this to be a high-scoring contest, with at least six total goals. Even though both offences rank as either average or below average (the Blues are 29th in goals scored per game with 2.61), neither team are outstanding defensively, either.

St. Louis should be able to exploit Toronto’s woeful defence, while the Maple Leafs should still generate plenty of chances thanks to the quality of their attacking players, even without Matthews.

Lastly, we’re adding Dalibor Dvorsky to our three-leg parlay, as he’s expected to move up to the first line to replace Robert Thomas, who’s dealing with an upper-body injury and missed Thursday’s clash against the Sharks.

Even though Thomas has a chance to return on Saturday, he’s not expected to be fully fit. Dvorsky, meanwhile, scored a goal against the Sharks and has recorded three points over his last five games.

The Blues will wait until the very last minute to determine whether Robert Thomas will be available. The star centre, who leads St. Louis in points with 46 (16 goals, 30 assists) in 53 regular-season appearances, missed Thursday’s win over the Sharks due to an upper-body injury and is considered questionable for this game.

A decision on his status will be made closer to Saturday’s puck drop.

The Blues are also without Torey Krug, who will miss the rest of the 2025-26 campaign with an ankle injury, and Tyler Tucker. Tucker is reportedly close to returning, and while he won’t play Saturday, he might be able to return at some point next week.

Toronto Maple Leafs Team News

The Maple Leafs aren’t dealing with many injuries, and the two players currently sidelined aren’t expected to return until the 2026-27 season. Chris Tanev is dealing with an abdominal injury, and Matthews is out with a knee issue.

Matthews’ absence is particularly significant for the Maple Leafs, as the star forward has recorded 53 points (27 goals, 26 assists) in 60 regular-season games this season.
