Montreal Canadiens vs Boston Bruins Moneyline Prediction

The Canadiens are looking to turn things around after back-to-back losses to the Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks, with four goals conceded each time.

Those defeats followed a three-game winning stretch, which highlights the team’s inconsistency – it’s difficult to predict which version of Montreal will show up. The Habs have gone W5, L3, OT2 over their last 10 contests.

This Tuesday matchup will be the second leg of a back-to-back set for the Bruins, who are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss to the New Jersey Devils on Monday.

Even though Boston have won five of their last 10 outings (W5, L3, OT2), the fact that they’ve alternated wins and losses is worrisome, especially since this will be the team’s third straight game away from home.

The tired legs are beginning to cause an issue for the Bruins. Even though the Canadiens are far from the NHL’s strongest home side, the fact that they haven’t travelled much of late should give them an edge in fitness and physicality against a tired Boston team. This promises to be a close-knit affair, but Montreal should find a way to get the win in front of their fans.

Nick Suzuki is known for his power-play performances, having notched 10 of his 23 goals this season thanks to the man advantage, though his overall production has been strong as well.

The star playmaker is one of two players who average over a point per game, with Cole Caufield (66 points in 65 games) being the other.

Leading Montreal in points, Suzuki has 23 goals and 55 assists (78 points) in 66 appearances so far in 2025-26, and he ranks fourth in the league in power-play points with 35.

We expect him to make an impact either at full strength or in power-play scenarios, as Suzuki has three goals and seven points over his last five outings – leading the team in both categories.

Montreal Canadiens vs Boston Bruins Same Game Parlay

We expect this to be a high-scoring matchup, and for good reason, as both offences rank in the top 10 in scoring. Montreal have the second-best attack in the league at 3.50 goals per game, while the Bruins are 10th with 3.27.

Additionally, two of the previous three head-to-head meetings have produced at least seven goals.

We’re pairing that outcome with two star-calibre forwards making an impact on the scoresheet. Boston will rely on David Pastrnak, who has 81 points (26 goals, 55 assists) on the season, while the Canadiens will trust in what Suzuki and his 78 points bring to the table.

Both have recorded seven points over their respective last five appearances.

The Canadiens will have to wait and see whether Kirby Dach will be available, as the centre suffered an upper-body injury in the 4-3 loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday. He’s listed as day-to-day, so a call on his status will probably be made closer to Tuesday’s contest.

The other injury casualty is Patrik Laine, who has missed most of the season due to an abdominal injury. Currently on the IR, he’s on the verge of returning to action. He’ll be assessed before Tuesday’s game, but chances are he’s still not ready to return to the ice. Laine hasn’t played since October 16.

Boston Bruins Team News

The Bruins are at full strength and won’t be missing any players ahead of the second leg of this back-to-back set. The team will rely on their star duo of David Pastrnak and Morgan Geekie to get a positive result here, whereas the main doubt lies in who will get the nod between the posts.

Jeremy Swayman has been the Bruins’ top goaltender all season long and sits first on the depth chart. However, he’s started three games in a row and six of the last eight. He hasn’t made four straight starts since a stretch between December 29 and January 6, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see Joonas Korpisalo get the nod here.
