The 2023 tennis season is in full swing, yet the Grand Slam tournaments have wrapped up.  Novak Djokovic has managed to win the Australian Open, the French Open and the US Open. If Carlos Alcaraz hadn’t played so well, the Serbian star might have won a calendar Grand Slam, a goal he’s never achieved in his career.

The 36-year-old Djokovic shows no signs of ageing. He is still considered one of the best players in the world and managed to get his 24th Grand Slam, equaling Margaret Court’s record.

As we, along with fans worldwide, look forward to the 2024 tournaments, it’s a waiting game to see if Djokovic will keep up his winning streak. Let’s delve into the prospects for the 2024 Grand Slam, guided by the odds from Tonybet!

Australian Open – Djokovic’s Kingdom

Novak Djokovic – 2.2

Carlos Alcaraz – 3.1

Daniil Medvedev – 5.5

Novak Djokovic is undoubtedly a favourite to clinch his 11th Australian Open title. No player other than Rafael Nadal has won ten or more championships on one surface. After a year of absence due to the coronavirus restrictions, the Serbian returned with glory and defeated Sfetanos Tsitsipas in straight sets. The athlete will surely aim to repeat the same feat.

Carlos Alcaraz entered the world of tennis with a lot of anticipation. At 20, the Spanish player has already won 2 Grand Slams. Hard is one of his favourite surfaces, so the odds are justified.

And, of course, Daniil Medvedev – the Russian suffered a painful defeat in the 2022 final against Rafael Nadal, being up two sets. In 2023, he was eliminated at the early stage, but after beating Alcaraz in the US Open semifinals, Medvedev is again on the track.

French Open – Can Rafa Nadal Strike One More Time?

Carlos Alcaraz – 2.4

Novak Djokovic – 3.2

Rafael Nadal – 5.05

Carlos Alcaraz has yet to win his maiden French Open title. The Spaniard said that clay is his favourite surface. In the 2023 semifinals, he suffered cramps against Novak Djokovic and lost in 4 sets. However, Alcaraz will return stronger in 2024 and can beat anyone!

In 2023, Novak Djokovic won his 3rd French Open title. No player has ever managed to win each Grand Slam 3 times. Clay is not Serbian’s preferred option, but don’t forget – he beat the King of Clay – Rafa Nadal himself twice here.

We can never write off Rafael Nadal – undoubtedly the best clay player of all time. He missed the 2023 season due to an injury and noted that 2024 would be his last in the ATP tour. Even out of form, Rafa is a formidable opponent for everyone, and he will be going for his 15th title in France.

Wimbledon – Another Victory for Carlos Alcaraz?

Carlos Alcaraz – 2.45

Novak Djokovic – 2.65

Daniil Medvedev – 12.8

The 2023 Wimbledon final was monumental. Djokovic had not lost at Centre Court for 10 years and was considered a favourite against the young Spaniard. He started well but eventually lost in 5 sets. It was only 3rd entry at Wimbledon for Alcaraz, and he beat the defending champion convincingly. If he maintains the form, he can cause trouble to anyone.

During the ceremony speech, Novak’s gut-wrenching defeat against Carlos Alcaraz saw him in tears. The Serbian failed to win the 8th title, but considering his mentality in 2024, he can rise like a Phoenix and compete again.

The grass surface could have been better for Daniil Medvedev. Yet he reached the semifinals but lost without a chance against Carlos Alcaraz. His performance at Wimbledon is always unpredictable, but with the amassed experience, he can go for something more and prove everyone wrong.

US Open – Most Unpredictable Tournament

Novak Djokovic – 2.2

Carlos Alcaraz – 2.5

Daniil Medvedev – 7.95

And we have reached the final tournament of the year. The 2024 US Open is going to be an unpredictable one, even though Tonybet considers Novak Djokovic as a significant favourite. Don’t forget, the Serbian has the most final losses (6) in the United States.

Carlos Alcaraz already knows the taste of the US Open. He claimed the title in 2022, defeating Casper Ruud in the final. Alcaraz failed to repeat the same success in 2023 when Daniil Medvedev successfully stopped the young Spaniard. For sure, his goal will be to get revenge.

Medvedev has a sole Grand Slam title only in the United States. He is one of the best hard-court players right now. In 2021, he defeated none other than Novak Djokovic and eliminated Carlos Alcaraz in 2023. It is almost impossible to combat his playing style when he plays his best.
