Florida Panthers vs Toronto Maple Leafs Main Match Info

Florida Panthers vs Toronto Maple Leafs Moneyline Prediction

The Panthers haven’t been playing at their best of late, and the numbers back that up – they’re on a two-game losing skid and have dropped three of their previous four contests.

However, in this battle of the two worst sides in the Eastern Conference, with Florida sitting 14th and the Maple Leafs 15th, the hosts should have the edge.

Toronto might be coming off a 7-2 win over the Penguins, but this is still a team that have posted a W3, L5, OT2 over their last 10 outings. They’ve also endured lots of problems on defence, and their 89 goals allowed (3.56 per game) rank as the joint-worst mark in the Eastern Conference alongside the Detroit Red Wings.

Toronto have scored 85 goals, good for the third-best mark in the East, but it’s hard to trust them when very few clubs in the NHL are as defensively challenged as they are.

Florida might be struggling in recent days, but the Panthers should take advantage of being at home, where they’ve gone W8, L5, OT1 this season. The hosts, who average 3.35 goals scored per game in 2025-26 at Amerant Bank Arena, should have enough quality to get past the challenge of a struggling Maple Leafs team.

Florida Panthers vs Toronto Maple Leafs Player Prop

Verhaeghe has been playing very well lately and is trending in the right direction after going through a slump.

The 30-year-old winger might hold a third-line role in the line-up, but he’s currently riding a three-game point streak and has found the twine twice over that stretch.

He might have only four goals this season, but he’s seeing the puck well and should be a menace for Toronto’s defence, especially in power-play situations.

Florida Panthers vs Toronto Maple Leafs Same Game Parlay

For our three-leg parlay, we believe the Panthers will indeed secure the victory in regulation. The data is all there for Florida, who are due for a bounce-back performance following their back-to-back losses against the Calgary Flames and Philadelphia Flyers. The Panthers should take advantage of the Maple Leafs’ tired legs to get the win here.

We’re also relying on two of the hottest players in each franchise. Marchand is riding a four-game point streak and has found the back of the net in the last two outings to boost his point tally to a team-best 27. That figure also ranks in the top 30 in the NHL.

Toronto also has a player riding a sizzling form streak in Oliver Ekman-Larsson. Despite being a defender, Ekman-Larsson has notched at least one point in nine encounters in a row (three goals, seven assists) and should lead the blue line once again.

The 34-year-old veteran ranks 12th in the NHL in points among defencemen with 20, courtesy of four goals and 16 helpers, and he scored in Toronto’s 7-2 win over Pittsburgh on Nov. 29.

Florida Panthers vs Toronto Maple Leafs Team News

Florida Panthers Team News

The Panthers have a long list of absentees, with Alexander Barkov standing out the most. The star playmaker is dealing with a knee injury and isn’t expected to be available in the regular season, although he could potentially play in the latter stages of the 2026 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Matthew Tkachuk is another star player who’s sidelined, but he should return to action in mid-December or right around Christmas in a worst-case scenario. Eetu Luostarinen (lower body), Cole Schwindt (arm), Tomas Nosek (knee), Dmitry Kulikov (upper body), and Jonah Gadjovich (upper body) are out as well. None will be available for this contest.

The Panthers have yet to announce who their starting goaltender will be on Tuesday.

Toronto Maple Leafs Team News

Anthony Stolarz (upper body) remains out for the Maple Leafs, and given Toronto’s defensive record, they can’t wait to have him back guarding the crease. Chris Tanev (upper body), Marshall Rifai (wrist), and Brandon Carlo (lower body) are also sidelined and won’t be available for this game.

The Maple Leafs have yet to announce who will start between the pipes for this trip to Florida.
