Seattle Kraken vs Toronto Maple Leafs Main Match Info

Seattle Kraken vs Toronto Maple Leafs Moneyline Prediction

The Kraken are set to put an end to their six-game homestand in this matchup against Toronto. They’ve gone W3, L2 over that span and enter on the back of consecutive wins.

Their most recent outing ended in a dominant 5-1 victory over the Washington Capitals. The Kraken will be looking to replicate that performance against a Maple Leafs team that have been trending in the wrong direction

Toronto’s defensive issues have been well documented throughout the entire 2025-26 campaign. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that they’re going through their worst period of the season.

They’re coming off a 7-4 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday, which capped a five-game losing streak at home. Furthermore, they’ve now gone nine meetings without a win in regulation (OTW2, L6, OT1).

Playing on the road hasn’t exactly been one of the Maple Leafs’ strongest suits, either. They haven’t recorded an away win in regulation in their last 10 outings (OTW3, L4, OT3), and that’s not likely to change against a Seattle team that have won three of their last four home encounters. Defensive issues continue to plague Toronto, who rank third-worst in the NHL in goals allowed per game (3.43).

Even though the Maple Leafs sit 11th in goals scored (3.28), the Kraken have done a good job defensively (2.90 goals against per game, 10th-best mark in the NHL) and have a red-hot Karel Vejmelka between the posts, who has averaged a 2.19 GAA with a .919 save percentage over his last 10 appearances.

All signs point toward Seattle having the edge here and securing a victory.

Seattle Kraken vs Toronto Maple Leafs Player Prop

Jared McCann has been Seattle’s most productive player of late, tallying a team-best seven points (four goals, three assists) over their last five outings. The 29-year-old winger is coming off one of his best performances this season in Tuesday’s 5-1 win over the Capitals, where he recorded two goals and two assists.

He’s cracked the scoresheet in three of Seattle’s last four games, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him contribute against the Maple Leafs. Toronto’s shaky defensive play is unlikely to slow down McCann, who has been productive this season with 26 points from 28 encounters.

Seattle Kraken vs Toronto Maple Leafs Same Game Parlay

Given the Kraken’s recent form and the Maple Leafs’ defensive issues, this clash could very well go over the 5.5 total goals line. That mark has been hit in six of Seattle’s last seven outings and in seven of Toronto’s last nine.

Two of the best players expected to take the ice should also have plenty of chances to crack the scoresheet.

McCann is averaging nearly a point per game this season and should cause issues for Toronto given his recent form, with seven points in his last four appearances.

As for Auston Matthews, he’ll be tasked with leading the offence due to the likely absence of William Nylander (groin) and the mini-slump of John Tavares. Matthews has recorded 18 points (11 goals, seven assists) in 14 appearances since the beginning of January.

The Kraken will be close to full strength. The only confirmed absences are goaltender Matt Murray and left winger Ben Meyers, both dealing with lower-body injuries. Top prospect Max McCormick is out for the remainder of the 2025-26 season with a hip injury.

Toronto Maple Leafs Team News

The Maple Leafs are waiting to see whether William Nylander (groin) will be available for Thursday’s game. Even though he’s hoping to return at some point during the team’s road trip, this visit to Seattle might come too soon for him. Chris Tanev (groin) and Dakota Joshua (upper body) are confirmed absences, though Tanev also has a shot at returning to the ice before the Olympic break.
