Winnipeg Jets vs Minnesota Wild Moneyline Prediction

The Jets are going through one of their most challenging stretches of the 2025-26 season from a results perspective. They entered the festivities on a four-game losing skid (L2, OT2) after suffering a 4-3 overtime loss to the Utah Mammoth on Sunday, December 21.

That defeat to Utah means the Jets have now dropped three of their last four at home, where they’ve gone a disappointing W8, L7, OT1 so far.

Furthermore, the Jets have won just two of their last 10 games (W2, L5, LOT3), which is far from being at their best for a team that’s expected to challenge for a playoff berth in the Western Conference.

The Jets’ main issue is their offense, as they rank 21st in the league with 2.91 goals per game. Defensively, they aren’t at their best either, with 3.03 goals conceded per contest (21st) despite having Connor Hellebuyck between the posts.

Meanwhile, the Wild are one of the best teams in the West despite entering this contest on a two-game losing skid just before the break. Those losses against the Avalanche and the Predators won’t define this team’s potential, as the Wild have gone W7, L2, OT1 over their 10 contests.

Few teams in the Western Conference have been as good as Minnesota over that stretch.

The Wild aren’t a dominant offensive team, as they rank 17th in goals scored per game, but they excel defensively (2.58 goals allowed per game, third-best mark in the league) and in special teams (ninth in power play with 23 percent of effectiveness).

That should be enough to get the job done against a Jets team that ranks 21st in goals scored and around league average in penalty killing (80.9 percent, 15th).

Winnipeg Jets vs. Minnesota Wild Player Prop

The Wild goes as Kirill Kaprizov goes. The Russian winger is one of the most prolific players in the Western Conference, and even though his numbers haven’t been elite this season, he remains an above-average winger capable of making an impact every time he steps on the ice.

Kaprizov has recorded points in five of his last six games, tallying nine points over that stretch with four goals and five assists. He’s coming off back-to-back games with at least one assist, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he achieves one here as well.

He’s displayed excellent chemistry with star forward Matt Boldy, and both should take advantage of the defensive shortcomings the Jets have shown of late, with 11 goals allowed amid their ongoing four-game losing streak.

Winnipeg Jets vs. Minnesota Wild Same Game Parlay

The first leg of our three-leg parlay lies on the possibility of a low-scoring game. As bad as the Jets have been playing of late, they still have one of the best goaltenders in the game in Connor Hellebuyck.

Meanwhile, the Wild are an elite defensive unit and rank third in goals conceded per game this season with 2.58. Those two factors should increase the likelihood that this game will be a low-scoring affair.

Kaprizov should have decent opportunities to crack the scoresheet, and even if he can’t find the back of the net, the possibility of an assist is certain.

He’s done it in each of his last two games, and he should have a good shot at extending a prolific stretch that has seen him record 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in his last 10 games.

Last but not least, we’re also backing Kyle Connor to operate as the Jets’ primary weapon on offense. Connor scored twice in the loss to Utah the last time out and is averaging 3.5 shots per game over his previous 10 appearances.
