Dallas Stars vs Edmonton Oilers Main Match Info

Dallas Stars vs Edmonton Oilers Moneyline Prediction

The Stars may not sit at the top of the Western Conference standings, but they’re undoubtedly the hottest team in the NHL – and have held that tag since the competition resumed after the Winter Olympics

Dallas are coming off a tight 2-1 win over the Vegas Golden Knights and have now won six of their seven outings since the break. They’re also riding a 13-game streak without a regulation loss (W12, OT1).

The Oilers are also trending in the right direction. They used their elite offensive power to upset the Colorado Avalanche with a 4-3 victory at Ball Arena. Edmonton have won two in a row and three of the last four games, suggesting the team may be turning things around after some subpar stretches earlier in the season.

Despite boasting one of the best attacks in the NHL, the Oilers have dropped six of their last 10 encounters (W4, L6).

While Edmonton have shown promise lately, it’s hard to see them topping the Stars, who are on a nine-game run of recording at least one point at American Airlines Center (W8, OT1).

Look for Dallas to come out on top once again, as they’re simply the better and more consistent side on both ends of the ice – especially with the Oilers posting a mixed W3, L3 record in their last six road contests.

Dallas Stars vs Edmonton Oilers Player Prop

The Stars can rely on their elite goaltending to get the job done against the Oilers’ elite offence, but their attack needs to step up as well.

One player who has done that all season long is Jason Robertson, who’s tied for the team’s lead in goals (34), leads in points (74), and ranks second in power-play goals (12).

Even though Wyatt Johnston has been one of the most deadly power-play scorers with 21 PP goals, Robertson has been far more consistent overall.

He should take advantage of the fact that the Oilers rank 26th in penalty killing this season (77.2 percent). Robertson is on a four-game scoreless run, but he’s simply too talented to continue struggling for so long.

Dallas Stars vs Edmonton Oilers Same Game Parlay

Our three-leg parlay points toward a high-scoring matchup, as these teams boast two of the NHL’s top seven offences.

The Oilers rank second in the league in goals scored per game (3.55) and first in power-play percentage (33.1 percent). Meanwhile, the Stars sit seventh in goals (3.41) and second in power-play effectiveness at 29.7 percent.

We’re pairing that outcome with two of the hottest players from both sides finding a way to crack the scoresheet.

It’s hard to ignore what Matt Duchene has done for the Stars of late. The veteran has been an excellent playmaker with seven assists and eight total points over his last five outings.

Connor McDavid, meanwhile, has collected 10 points (one goal, nine assists) over his last five appearances after notching two points (G1, A1) in Tuesday’s win over the Avalanche. He currently leads the NHL in assists (74) and total points (110) while ranking fourth in goals (36).
