Winnipeg Jets vs Chicago Blackhawks Main Match Info

Winnipeg Jets vs Chicago Blackhawks Moneyline Prediction

The Jets have recorded back-to-back overtime losses, suffering a 2-1 defeat to the San Jose Sharks on Sunday and a 5-4 loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday. To put that setback in the rearview mirror, they need to bounce back at home, but the numbers are far from encouraging.

After all, the Jets are the fourth-worst home side in the Western Conference (W12, L11, OT5) and have lost four of their last five encounters at Canada Life Centre.

That bodes well for the Blackhawks’ chances of earning the win here, especially after they snapped a three-game losing streak with a 4-0 victory over the Utah Mammoth on Sunday.

That result also ended their five-game losing skid at home.

Recent form makes it hard to fully trust either team, but the Blackhawks are posting slightly better numbers and feature more individual talent, which should help them grind out a tight win.

Winnipeg Jets vs Chicago Blackhawks Player Prop

It’s difficult to overlook Bedard’s scoring threat whenever he steps on the ice. The star playmaker is simply the best player on the Chicago roster by a wide margin. He’s capable of being a true difference-maker, and he’s shown a keen eye for goal as well.

In addition to scoring in two of his three appearances after the Olympics break, Bedard is the only player on the roster who averages more than one point per game, with 55 (25 goals, 30 assists) in 47 contests.

Winnipeg Jets vs Chicago Blackhawks Same Game Parlay

The Blackhawks are nowhere near the league’s elite offensively, ranking 26th in goals scored (2.63), while the Jets are one spot ahead at 2.83 goals per contest. Both teams are much better defensively, sitting 19th (3.12) and 17th (3.08), respectively.

Given that profile, this matchup has a strong chance to hit the under in the goals market. Three of Chicago’s last four encounters have featured under 5.5 goals, and that under has also hit in two of the Jets’ last three in regulation.

We’re pairing that with two Blackhawks player props, banking on the continued activity of Bedard and Teuvo Teravainen. Bedard has produced at least three shots in his last three appearances and is averaging 3.25 shots per game across 16 contests since his return from injury.

He should once again carry a big workload on offence for Chicago.

As for Teravainen, he scored twice in Sunday’s 4-0 win over the Mammoth, and he’s found a way to crack the scoresheet in four of his last five outings, tallying two goals and three assists over that stretch.

Teravainen should take advantage of his solid play of late to continue posting excellent numbers while playing in a top-six role.

Winnipeg Jets Team News

The Jets could be without Josh Morrissey, who’s dealing with an upper-body injury and is on the IR. The same goes for Colin Miller (knee), though a decision on both players will be made before Tuesday’s contest.

This game will come too soon for Nino Niederreiter (lower body), but the veteran winger is expected to return to the active roster in the coming days. Vladislav Namestnikov (lower body) and Neal Pionk (undisclosed) are still at least one week away from returning to action.

Chicago Blackhawks Team News

The Blackhawks are thin on defence, as they could be without up to four blueliners. Sam Rinzel (illness) is the only one of those four who has a shot at suiting up on Tuesday, though a decision on this status will be made closer to Tuesday’s puck drop.

Wyatt Kaiser (lower body) is working his way back from injury, and while this game will come too soon for him, he’s likely to return to action in the near future. Meanwhile, both Ryan Ellis (back) and veteran Shea Weber (ankle) have been ruled out for the rest of the 2025-26 campaign.
