Calgary Flames vs San Jose Sharks Moneyline Prediction

The Sharks have the edge of playing at home, but that’s not the only reason why they’re considered the odds-on favourites to get the win here.

Even though they weren’t playing at their best before the Olympic break and were carrying a four-game losing skid, the play of Macklin Celebrini with Team Canada should provide enough of a spark to see the Sharks turning things around.

Moreover, San Jose have won three of their last four outings at SAP Center. Even though they haven’t played there since January 24, when they recorded a 3-1 win over the New York Rangers, their home record (W14, L9, OT3) isn’t the worst in the Western Conference by any means.

The Flames won two of their last three games entering the break. However, they have the second-worst away record in the Western Conference (W8, L17, OT2), having dropped three of their last five encounters. That disparity in terms of record is enough evidence to trust the Sharks not only to win here, but to do so rather comfortably.

Calgary Flames vs San Jose Sharks Player Prop

Few players turned more heads during the 2026 Winter Olympics than Celebrini. Despite being the youngest player on the Canada roster, the star centre had a big role in the team’s silver-medal campaign.

Unsurprisingly, he’s also the barometer that makes the Sharks’ offence go at all moments.

Celebrini has recorded 81 points (28 goals, 53 assists) in 55 regular-season encounters in 2025-26. He should deliver a convincing performance against a Calgary defence that allows just 2.98 goals per game, the 13th-best mark in the NHL.

Look for Celebrini to find the back of the net if the Sharks are to have any shot at winning this contest.

Calgary Flames vs San Jose Sharks Same Game Parlay

The Sharks rank 30th in the NHL with 3.49 goals allowed per game this season, but the Flames have the worst offence that averages just 2.50 goals. And while San Jose are 18th in goals scored per game (3.07), Calgary best them defensively with the 13th-best goals-against average (2.98).

As a result, this matchup could very well turn into a relatively low-scoring affair, as neither offence is trustworthy enough to make a big impact compared to what the opposition offers at the other end. However, the Sharks could rely on their two top scoring weapons – Celebrini and Will Smith – to step up.

Celebrini leads the team in goals (28) and assists (53), so expect him to be heavily involved as their main creative outlet and finisher. However, it would be wrong to rule Smith out of making an impact as well. The centre is tied for second on the squad in goals with 17, but he was gaining steam before the break with three goals over his last five appearances.
