Calgary Flames vs Vancouver Canucks Main Match Info

Calgary Flames vs Vancouver Canucks Moneyline Prediction

The Flames saw their winning streak end on Thursday with a 3-2 overtime loss to the Anaheim Ducks, but they still hold a decent W5, L4, OT1 record over their last 10 games.

They’re in a tough spot in the playoff race, sitting nine points behind the second Wild Card berth. A win here is the only result that would keep their slim playoff chances alive.

The same can’t be said about the Canucks, as they’re already eliminated from playoff contention and are effectively looking ahead to the 2026-27 season. Vancouver are the only eliminated team in the Western Conference.

They have 50 points from 71 encounters (W21, L42, OT8) and are riding a four-game losing skid.

Even though neither side are likely to make the playoffs, the Flames have been playing much better lately. They also have home-ice advantage, which is always a factor. The Canucks are beginning a road trip, but with a W13, L17, OT3 road record, it’s difficult to trust them to pull off an upset here.

With the Flames holding home-ice advantage and boasting a stronger defence (16th in goals allowed per game against Vancouver’s 32nd defence), all signs point to a home win.

Calgary Flames vs Vancouver Canucks Player Prop

Matt Coronato, who has recorded six points in his last six outings, could be an interesting player to target in a player prop, but we’re leaning toward Morgan Frost here.

The 26-year-old forward has failed to find the back of the net in the Flames’ last two games, but he still has three goals over his last six appearances.

Frost also co-leads Calgary in goals this season with 17, tied with Blake Coleman. He ranks third on the team in points with 35, sitting behind Mikael Backlund (39 points) and Coronato (36).

Frost has a realistic chance of finishing the season with over 40 points, a mark he’s reached just twice in his career.

Calgary Flames vs Vancouver Canucks Same Game Parlay

All signs point to a low-scoring affair. These are the two weakest offences in the NHL by a wide margin, with the Flames averaging a league-worst 2.47 goals per game and the Canucks sitting just one spot above them at 2.49. Neither team stand out in the goaltending department, but the lack of scoring power on both sides is especially notable.

Vancouver aren’t the favourites to come out on top here, so it wouldn’t be surprising if they also fail to cover the +1.5 puck line, meaning Calgary should secure a rather comfortable victory.

Even though the limited offensive firepower should shape the game, the Flames could easily win by two or more goals. After all, the Canucks have failed to cover the +1.5 puck line in each of their last four losses.

Perhaps the most reliable scoring threat in this matchup is Coronato. The star winger has been one of the most productive players in an anemic Flames offence. He’s currently riding a four-game point streak, with one goal and three assists. He also has six points over his last six appearances, with goals against Detroit and Florida in that stretch.

Calgary Flames vs Vancouver Canucks Team News

Calgary Flames Team News

The Flames are without several players, including Jonathan Huberdeau (hip), Jake Bean (undisclosed), and Samuel Honzek (upper body), with all three ruled out for the remainder of the 2025-26 regular season. Connor Zary is also dealing with an upper-body injury, but he’s listed as day-to-day, meaning he could still have a chance to play on Saturday depending on how the injury progresses.

Vancouver Canucks Team News

The Canucks’ injury list remains unchanged from recent games. They’re still without Filip Chytil (undisclosed) and Derek Forbort (undisclosed). While neither has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, their chances of playing again in 2025-26 are looking slim. Thatcher Demko (hip) and Jonathan Lekkerimaki (shoulder) will miss the rest of the campaign.
