Calgary Flames vs St. Louis Blues Moneyline Prediction

The Blues saw their two-game winning streak end with a 3-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday. However, that shouldn’t overshadow how good the team have been playing of late.

They’ve won seven of their previous 10 encounters while losing in regulation just twice over that span (W7, L2, OT1), and that run should keep their slim playoff hopes alive with less than one month left in the regular season.

The Flames are trending in the opposite direction, and they’d need more than a miracle to even sniff a playoff berth, having notched just 59 points out of 67 outings.

Their 5-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Monday means they’ve lost two in a row and four of their last five. Things haven’t improved at home, as they hold the fourth-worst home record in the Western Conference (W16, L12, OT4).

Even though this encounter is the second of a three-game road trip for the Blues, it’s difficult to see the Flames capitalising on their home-ice advantage.

With Calgary owning the worst offence in the league (2.46 goals per game) and subpar goaltending, St. Louis should find a way to get the win here, as they did in the previous two head-to-head meetings earlier this season.

Calgary Flames vs St. Louis Blues Player Prop

The Blues will need to rely on their attacking power to get the job done against the Flames’ 20th-ranked defence, and one player who could step up for St. Louis is Jimmy Snuggerud.

The 21-year-old hasn’t scored in his last two games, but his recent performances have been eye-popping.

Snuggerud has cracked the scoresheet in five of his last six outings, tallying five goals, five assists, a plus-7 rating, and 21 shots on goal during that span. The winger is tied for second in goals on the Blues this season with 15.

Calgary Flames vs St. Louis Blues Same Game Parlay

The Blues average a mere 2.63 goals per game this season (27th), but that number rises to 3.2 over the team’s last 10 encounters. Additionally, they’ve scored at least three goals in each of the two meetings with Calgary this season.

As such, it wouldn’t be surprising if St. Louis scores at least four goals while exploiting the deficiencies the Flames have on the defensive side of the puck.

We’re pairing that outcome with two of the Blues’ most reliable scoring threats making an impact here. Snuggerud, who has eight points over his last five outings with four goals and four assists, is certainly a player to keep close tabs on.

Robert Thomas can’t be overlooked, either. The star centre leads the Blues in goals (16) and points (44) across 50 regular-season appearances this season, and he also has 11 points (five goals, six assists) in eight games since returning from injury on March 1.

Calgary Flames Team News

The Flames will have to wait and see whether blueliner Yan Kuznetsov will be available for this contest, as he’s currently listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury. A decision on Kuznetsov’s availability will probably be made after Wednesday’s morning skate.

Jake Bean remains sidelined due to an undisclosed injury, and while he’s out for the rest of the regular season, there’s a chance he might return to the ice if the Flames make the playoffs. The same can’t be said about Samuel Honzek (upper body) and Jonathan Huberdeau (hip), as both are out for the rest of the campaign.

St. Louis Blues Team News

The Blues don’t have any new injury concerns since their lone injured player, defenceman Torey Krug, has already been ruled out for the rest of the 2025-26 season.

There aren’t many changes expected for St. Louis in terms of lines or goaltending, either, with Joel Hofer being an option to start ahead of Jordan Binnington. Hofer has won five of his last six starts, going 5-0-1 with a 1.64 GAA and a .948 save percentage over that stretch.
