Canada vs Czech Republic Moneyline Prediction
- Moneyline Pick: Canada
Not only were Canada the best side in the round-robin stage of the 2026 Olympics, but they also dominated the competition with absolute ease. They fired five goals past their two toughest opponents, Switzerland and the Czech Republic, and finished their campaign with a 10-goal outburst against France. No team in the current Olympic field have been as solid as Canada on both sides of the puck.
The Canucks will probably rely on their impressive attacking trio of Connor McDavid, Macklin Celebrini, and Nathan MacKinnon to beat the Czechs for the second time in a matter of days.

No squad can hold up against Canada, and they should also have a rest edge here. Czechia secured their quarterfinal berth by defeating Denmark in a tougher-than-expected game on Tuesday, leaving them with barely a full day of rest.
Essentially, the Czechs will be playing this contest on a back-to-back set and without significant depth across the board. Meanwhile, Canada have had several days to recharge, and as if that wasn’t enough of an edge, they also have a clear talent advantage.
A repeat of the round-robin meeting, where the Canucks won 5-0 in what has been their lone shutout of the campaign so far, is well within reach. As talented as they are, the Czechs aren’t expected to have much of a shot here.
Canada vs Czech Republic Player Prop
- Prop Bet: Macklin Celebrini over 0.5 goals
Even though Connor McDavid has earned most of the praise and MVP buzz after tallying nine points in the first three games, it’s impossible to overlook what Macklin Celebrini is doing.
The San Jose Sharks star has four goals and six points in three outings despite being only 19 years old. He’s a threat to find the back of the net again here since he already did it against the Czechs in the round-robin.
Canada vs Czech Republic Same Game Parlay
- SGP: Canada -2.5 + Canada to lead in first period + Over 5.5 goals
In our three-leg parlay, we’re not only backing Canada to win, but to do so by multiple goals.
Their rest advantage should prove decisive against a Czech team that already had trouble stopping them in the round-robin. This time, Czechia shouldn’t stand much of a chance as they’ll be effectively playing on a back-to-back.
That not only strengthens the case for Canada covering a -2.5 puck line, something they’ve done with ease in their three Olympic contests so far, but they should also grab the lead within the opening 20 minutes.

The Canucks have scored six of their 20 goals in the tournament during the first period, and that trend could very well continue against a tired Czech side.
This promises to be another high-scoring affair. Canada have scored at least five goals in every one of their three games in the current Olympic run. The Czechs will be too tired to deal with an attack loaded with talent and scoring ability across their top three lines.
Canada vs Czech Republic Team News
Canada Team News
Canada aren’t dealing with any significant injuries, and given the team’s performance in the round-robin, they shouldn’t make too many changes to the line structure, either. Jordan Binnington is expected to get the nod between the pipes over Logan Thompson for this one.
Canada are likely to keep the trio of MacKinnon, McDavid, and Celebrini skating together as much as they can. McDavid leads the Olympics in points, Celebrini is tied for the lead in goals, and MacKinnon can destroy any defence on any given night.
Czech Republic Team News
The Czechs also enter this game without major injury issues. Their biggest player to watch is none other than Martin Necas, as the Avalanche winger has tallied seven points so far in the tournament – the second-best mark behind Connor McDavid.
The biggest uncertainty surrounds the starting goaltender. Lukas Dostal got the nod in the win over Denmark, and he’s not expected to go back-to-back. Thus, it’d be either Dan Vladar, who allowed three goals on 12 shots against France, or Karel Vejmelka, who has been excellent with the Utah Mammoth this season (2.58 GAA) but has yet to play in the tournament.
