Calgary Flames vs Buffalo Sabres Main Match Info

Calgary Flames vs Buffalo Sabres Moneyline Prediction

The Flames sit near the bottom of the Western Conference standings with 26 points (W11, L15, OT4), while the Sabres are dead last in the East (26 points – W11, L13, OT4). However, in this battle of struggling teams, Calgary have a slight edge on paper and should be considered favourites to claim all three points.

The home-ice advantage is undoubtedly a factor, and the Flames will try to make it three straight wins at Scotiabank Saddledome against a Sabres side that have dropped two in a row.

Calgary are coming off victories over Minnesota (4-1) and Utah (2-0), and they’ve secured six of their 11 wins this season in front of their fans. They should be able to take advantage of Buffalo’s ongoing struggles.

The main reason behind the Sabres’ issues this season is that they’re among the worst defensive teams in the NHL. Only three clubs have allowed more goals than Buffalo (96) in the Eastern Conference.

Their last two losses have come on the road, and they’re yet to win a game in regulation when playing on enemy territory. They also allowed a whopping 4.25 goals per away encounter in 2025-26, further bolstering the idea that the Flames are the favourites here.

Calgary Flames vs Buffalo Sabres Player Prop

Kadri has only recorded two assists over the Flames’ last four games, but there’s no doubt that he’s the team’s most decisive player. He leads Calgary in assists (18) and points (23) this season, and he should have plenty of opportunities to crack the scoresheet against one of the worst defences in the Eastern Conference.

Kadri’s numbers are impressive, even if he’s failed to produce much of late. He has picked up 12 points (one goal, 11 assists) over his last 10 appearances, a stretch in which he’s also racked up five power-play assists, 34 shots on goal, nine hits, and six blocked shots.

His shooting percentage is an absurdly low 2.9 percent, so he’s bound to score more often in the near future as well. He’s simply too talented to be this ineffective.

Calgary Flames vs Buffalo Sabres Same Game Parlay

For our three-leg parlay, we’re backing the Flames to get the win here in a high-scoring matchup. They have a clear advantage by playing at home against one of the worst defensive teams in the NHL.

Calgary’s positive run of results in recent days, as well as the Sabres’ massive struggles on the road, certainly tip the scales in the hosts’ favour.

Relying on the over in the goals market is tied to the defensive issues from both sides rather than the presence of a star player or a dominant scorer.

Three of their last five H2H meetings have produced over 5.5 goals, and the last two have featured at least seven, including the Flames’ 6-2 win a few weeks ago on Nov. 20.

Last but not least, Kadri may be Calgary’s most decisive attacking force, but we’re relying on Coronato to find the back of the net here. The winger is the team’s leading goalscorer this season with nine, and he should be able to make his presence felt against a Buffalo squad that have been atrocious defensively on the road this season.
