All 20 Premier League teams will be playing from Saturday to Monday, and with just a couple of games left this season there really is plenty to play for at both ends of the table. Without further ado, here are my best bets for Matchweek 37.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Crystal Palace (Saturday, May 11)

The end of the season often sees different teams take different approaches. Sometimes teams look like they’re already on holiday while other times they have something to fight for. While neither team in this matchup has anything to fight for per se, at least in terms of the table, we have seen Palace improve hugely under new manager Oliver Glasner, who clearly wants his team to finish strong and take in his methods.

With four wins and a draw, including Monday’s 4-0 win over Man Utd, it’s clear that Palace haven’t given up on the season. That’s in stark contrast to Wolves, who have lost three of their last four and frankly, look disinterested. They got thrashed 5-1 by Man City last time out, and Palace are a good bet at plus money.

Everton vs. Sheffield United (Saturday, May 11)

Sheffield United are the worst team in the Premier League, as demonstrated by having accrued just 16 points this season. They now face a trip to Everton, who have already secured their Premier League status for next season. However, there’s one thing that these teams have in common: they’re the two lowest scoring squads in the EPL.

The Blades have scored just 35 goals and Everton aren’t much better with 38. While we know that United let in a lot of goals, we have to realize how poor both of these teams are in front of goal. +154 for Under 2.5 goals feels like a great price.

Nottingham Forest vs. Chelsea (Saturday, May 11)

Nottingham Forest come into this game on the back of a win over Sheffield United last time out. They’re three points clear of the relegation zone and 18th placed Luton Town. It’s very different to face Chelsea than Sheffield United, the worst team in the league.

Chelsea are one of the Premier League’s form teams: they’re now up into seventh and have a good chance of climbing a position and sealing a European spot for next season. Chelsea have thrashed West Ham 5-0 and beaten Spurs 2-0 in the past two games and are playing at a very good level right now.

Manchester United vs. Arsenal (Sunday, May 12)

Erik ten Hag’s time at Manchester United is surely coming to an end with the club winning just one of their previous five games. They were also humiliated on Monday with a 4-0 trashing from Crystal Palace.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are in the midst of the Premier League title bid and need to win every single game left in order to stand a chance of triumphing. That means a win here is non-negotiable and given they have the best defensive record in the Premier League and that United couldn’t score last week, it’s easy to see a clean sheet for the Gunners.

Aston Villa vs. Liverpool (Monday, May 13)

Depending on results earlier in the weekend, Liverpool may still have an outside chance of winning the Premier League title. If so, they’ll do everything in their power to try and win this game. Regardless of other results, we do know that Aston Villa will be tired having played on Thursday and are likely to struggle with their fitness in comparison to Liverpool.

I’ll be taking Mohamed Salah to score his 19th goal of the Premier League season in his 31st game. He’s quietly gone about scoring a lot of goals this year, but without the praise you’d expect. He had been on a dry spell, but scored and set up another last time out against Spurs and scored when these teams earlier in the season.
