We have another exciting slate of Premier League games this weekend with eight games spread between Saturday to Monday. Arsenal vs. Newcastle promises to be the match of the week, but there’s plenty for bettors to like about Bournemouth vs. Man City and Wolves vs. Sheffield United. Here are my best bets for the matches everyone will be talking about.

Crystal Palace vs. Burnley (Saturday, February 24)

After extensive speculation we finally saw Crystal Palace move on from Roy Hodgson and replace him with Oliver Glasner. The Austrian will be in the dugout against Burnley and you’re getting a big +175 on Palace winning at halftime of that game.

Having a new manager with new ideas will help reinvigorate Palace, and it’s fair to expect big things given the acclaim that Glasner comes with. Palace have had a good record in the first half of games, losing after 45 minutes in just one home game. That’s in stark contrast to Burnley, who have been behind at the half in 15 of their 25 games, which is a Premier League high. Expect Palace and their new manager to start well in front of the Selhurst Park crowd.

Pick: 1st Half Result – Crystal Palace (+175)

Bournemouth vs. Manchester City (Saturday, February 24)

Man City come into this game on a good run. They’ve won 12 of their last 13 games with the 1-1 draw with Chelsea being their only slip up. They now face a trip to Bournemouth who are in freefall right now and have dropped to 13th in the Premier League after a strong start.

Bournemouth’s last win in the Premier League was seven games ago, and they’ve given up 14 goals in the six games since their 3-0 win over Fulham. You can’t give a team like Man City that many chances.

Pick: Man City -1.5 (+110)

Arsenal vs. Newcastle (Saturday, February 24)

We really should see Arsenal win this one but -257 odds for them to win straight-up are prohibitive, so instead we’re finding a better way to boost our odds on the biggest Premier League game of the weekend. We’re going to take Draw/Arsenal on the halftime market at +300, meaning we need the score level after 45 minutes with Arsenal going on to win the game.

Both teams have been level at halftime in 12 of 25 league games. Arsenal have only been winning after 45 minutes in five of their 12 home games this season, scoring 11 first half goals, but the good news is that they’ve gone on to win eight of those games and scored 19 second half goals, the second highest total in the league.

Pick: Draw/Arsenal HT/FT (+300)

Wolves vs. Sheffield United (Sunday, February 25)

We’re taking Wolves on a big -1.5 handicap. Wolves are quietly outperforming expectations this season and are 11th in the Premier League table despite many suggesting in August that they’d be relegated.

One team who will be relegated are Sheffield United. They’ve given up 65 goals in 25 games, the worst record by a margin of 10 goals, and have had just one clean sheet all season. In their past five games across all competitions, they’ve given up 19 goals and have been pumped by five on three occasions. Wolves aren’t world beaters, but at home they’ll do the business by a couple of goals.

Pick: Wolves -1.5 (+127)

West Ham vs. Brentford (Monday, February 26)

The one man that really makes this Brentford team tick is Ivan Toney and it’s remarkable that he’s already the team’s third highest goalscorer despite playing just six times in the Premier League this season.

He’s scored four in six games and has the added benefit of taking penalties if the team wins one. West Ham haven’t won in eight games, losing to Bristol City in the FA Cup, drawing with a terrible Sheffield United team and giving up a massive 11 goals in their past three games. With their backline struggling there should be plenty of chances for Ivan Toney to take advantage.

Pick: Ivan Toney to score (+122)
