With four starters scoring at least 17 points, New York cruised to an easy 137-98 victory in Game 1, reinforcing their status as favourites in this matchup.

Now, the Knicks have a golden chance to take a 2-0 series lead. They are likely to regress in terms of efficiency, however, as they shot 63.1% from the floor in the opener, including 51.4% from deep. Meanwhile, the 76ers shot just 41.1% from the floor and 36.7% from three-point range.

New York’s physical dominance was expected, as they were fresher than a Philadelphia team that had had to grind it out for seven games against the Boston Celtics in the first round.

The Knicks are also dominant at home, having posted a 30-10 record at Madison Square Garden in the regular season. Given how they’re clicking on offence, another win against an exhausted 76ers side remains a strong possibility.

Embiid will probably live and die near the paint, and he should have the advantage over both Towns (physically) and Mitchell Robinson (athleticism).
