Manchester United vs Everton Preview and Team News
Manchester United Team News
All signs point to Manchester United having turned a corner after months of inconsistent performances under the tutelage of Ruben Amorim.
The Old Trafford outfit needed a stoppage-time goal from Matthijs de Ligt to snatch a point in a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur before the international break. However, that result extended their undefeated streak to five matches (W3, D2), with only two losses in their last nine overall (W5, D2, L2).
The lack of consistency from game to game was a massive problem for Man United, but they’ve been playing better and better of late. With Bryan Mbeumo as their best player and a defensive line that has played very well with Senne Lammens between the posts, it’s clear the Old Trafford side are trending in the right direction.

Manchester United should feel confident about their chances of playing at home as well, where they’ve won four in a row in league play while scoring 11 times.
The Red Devils will be without Benjamin Šeško, who sustained a knee injury in the 2-2 draw against Tottenham, meaning either Mason Mount or Joshua Zirkzee should start up front. Harry Maguire (hamstring), Lisandro Martinez (knee), and Kobbie Mainoo (undisclosed) are all game-time calls for this contest. Neither of the three would be in line to start if fit, though.
Manchester United predicted lineup vs Everton (3-4-3): Lammens; Yoro, de Ligt, Shaw; Diallo, Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, Dorgu; Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, Mount.
Everton Team News
Everton have been one of the most inconsistent clubs in the Premier League this season, and their recent results are the best example of the struggles they’ve endured.
They headed into the November international break on a two-match undefeated run following a win over Fulham and a draw at Sunderland, but that came after back-to-back losses to Tottenham and Manchester City.
With a W3, D3, L4 record in their previous 10 encounters across all competitions, it’s hard to trust Everton to pull off an upset against a team that seem superior both on paper and based on recent form.

The Toffees have also endured a fair share of struggles when playing on the road, dropping three of their last four outings. Their biggest issues have come on defence, as they’ve conceded at least two goals in four of their last five away meetings.
Everton will be mostly healthy for this contest, with the lone confirmed absence being Jarrad Branthwaite, who has yet to make his season debut due to a hamstring injury that has had a few setbacks. Nathan Patterson is a game-time call, but the defender isn’t likely to start even if deemed healthy, with James Garner thriving in his new role at right-back.
Everton predicted lineup vs Manchester United (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Garner, Keane, Tarkowski, Mykolenko; Gueye, Iroegbunam; Ndiaye, Dewsbury-Hall, Grealish; Barry.

Manchester United vs Everton Prediction, Odds
- Pick: Manchester United to win
- Odds: -129 (Tonybet)
- Correct score prediction: Manchester United 3-1 Everton
Manchester United had to settle for back-to-back draws against Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur, but they deserved better luck in both contests – particularly against the Tricky Trees, where they held a 59-41 edge in possession.
The five-match undefeated run suggests Amorim’s men have finally turned a corner compared to the beginning of the season, and it’s not surprising to see them as favourites here.
The Red Devils have been playing very well at Old Trafford, where they’ve won four encounters in a row, and Everton have struggled badly away from home, taking just one point from their last 12 available.

With only three wins in their recent 10 fixtures and a consistent lack of efficiency on both ends of the pitch, the Toffees’ prospects against a Manchester United side that seem to be playing better with each passing contest don’t look good.
It won’t be a walk in the park for the Red Devils either, as they’re still struggling to close out games and tend to suffer more than you’d like in the final stages. But these two teams are trending in opposite directions, and United should be able to extend their undefeated run to six matches with a win here against a struggling, inconsistent Everton squad.
Manchester United vs Everton Betting Tip
- Pick: Both teams to score and over 2.5 total goals
- Odds: +106 (Tonybet)
Manchester United have netted at least two goals in each of their last five matches since the 3-1 loss to Brentford on September 27. Moreover, six of their last seven Premier League encounters have ended with over 2.5 total goals and both teams scoring. Given their improvements in attack and the defensive issues both clubs have shown throughout the season, another game with lots of goals could be on the cards here.
