In terms of form, it’s hard to see either side having a sizable edge. While Germany have had better results lately, the Oranje have the advantage of playing at home. Both teams also have new managers, which adds to the uncertainty. In a battle of two evenly matched squads, I’m backing the draw.

I’m backing the draw given how evenly matched both teams are. The head-to-head record backs that up, as four of their last nine meetings have ended in a draw.
I also expect both sides to score. BTTS has landed in eight of the Netherlands’ last 10 games across all competitions and seven of Germany’s last eight, including all five at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Furthermore, both teams have got on the scoresheet in six of the last seven head-to-head meetings.
