Chelsea vs Hull City Moneyline Prediction
- Moneyline Pick: Chelsea
- Odds: -435 (Tonybet)
Chelsea saw their perfect start to the 2026-27 season come to an end with a 2-1 loss to Arsenal in the London derby. However, Xabi Alonso’s men quickly bounced back in midweek with a 6-3 thrashing of Leeds United to advance to the Round of 16 in the EFL Cup. The Blues’ scoring prowess is worth noting, as they have scored 16 goals in their first five competitive fixtures this season.
That scoring record will be put to the test against Hull City. The Tigers have been one of the most pleasant surprises in the Premier League this season and remain unbeaten in three matches (W2, D1), including a win over Manchester United and a draw against Aston Villa. Sergej Jakirovic’s men have yet to concede a goal in the league.

However, Hull City have been overachieving so far, and they could come crashing back down to earth sooner rather than later. They suffered a 1-0 loss to Sunderland in the EFL Cup on Tuesday, and they don’t seem to have the quality to slow down Chelsea’s prolific attack.
Chelsea vs Hull City Player Prop
- Prop Bet: Cole Palmer to score anytime
- Odds: -105 (Tonybet)
Cole Palmer is enjoying an excellent start to the season, and the star playmaker should continue to shine against a Hull squad that has been excellent defensively. With four goals and one assist in five appearances across all competitions in 2026-27, Palmer is the player most likely to unlock the Tigers’ defence.
Chelsea vs Hull City Same Game Parlay
- SGP: Chelsea to win + Under 2.5 goals + Chelsea under 9.5 corners
- Odds: +425 (Tonybet)
I’m backing Chelsea to win because they’re simply the better team. With Hull likely to stop overachieving sooner rather than later, the Blues have too much talent not to take all three points at Stamford Bridge. However, this could still be a low-scoring affair.

The Tigers will likely sit in a low block, limiting space for the likes of Palmer, Morgan Rogers, and Joao Pedro. With Hull City yet to concede a goal this season, the under 2.5 goals looks attainable, as Chelsea could struggle to break down their defence.
The Blues should also stay below the 9.5-corner line. They have yet to record more than four corners in any Premier League match they’ve played this season.

Chelsea will be without central midfielder Jordan Henderson, who is working his way back from the wrist injury he suffered with England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as well as Marco Palestra. The Italian defender has yet to resume group training and isn’t expected to be an option until after the September international break.

Emmanuel Emegha is dealing with an undisclosed injury but suffered a setback in his recovery in late August, so this matchup against the Tigers could come too soon for him. Moises Caicedo is dealing with a calf problem and is considered a game-time decision for Saturday’s match, with Romeo Lavia his possible replacement if the Ecuadorian international isn’t available.
Hull City Team News
Hull City’s list of injured players and potential absentees has reached double digits. John Egan (ankle), Tim Iroegbunam (undisclosed), Paddy McNair (foot), and Brooke Norton-Cuffy (calf) are all considered game-time decisions, although all four are expected to be included in the squad for the trip to Stamford Bridge.
