Cleveland Cavaliers vs Detroit Pistons Moneyline Prediction
- Moneyline Pick: Detroit Pistons
The Pistons couldn’t take advantage of their chances in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Cleveland Cavaliers and lost 116-109.
However, one defeat does not erase what has been an impressive postseason run for Detroit, and while the loss snapped a five-game winning streak, they still look like the stronger team in the series.
The Cavaliers may hold the advantage of playing at home, where they’ve gone 5-0 in the current playoffs, but Game 3 could easily have gone the other way.
The Pistons wasted several leads and only shot 45.1% from the floor, including 36% from deep, compared to Cleveland’s 58.1% and 37.5%, respectively.

If Detroit improve their efficiency, they could get back to winning ways and return to Motor City with a 3-1 series lead. The Cavaliers’ main issue has been that players have failed to step up when needed the most. Evan Mobley has struggled to make the expected impact, averaging 12.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.0 threes, 2.3 blocks, and 1.0 steals over 35.6 minutes per game in the series.

Ultimately, the Pistons’ depth off the bench gives the team a slight edge, and they should find a way to slow the Cavaliers down. As has been the case throughout the series, this is likely to turn into another tight contest, but Detroit should have just enough quality to bounce back and secure the win.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Detroit Pistons Player Prop
- Prop Bet: Tobias Harris over 18.5 points
Tobias Harris has been one of the biggest surprises of the playoffs so far. The veteran forward has stepped up to operate as the Pistons’ No. 2 option on offence ahead of Jalen Duren, consistently delivering in crucial moments.
He could easily clear this scoring line once again.

Harris notched 21 points (7-14 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT) and five rebounds across 38 minutes in Game 3. That was his eighth straight appearance with at least 20 points, a stretch during which he’s averaged 22.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 1.9 threes, and 1.5 steals over 36.6 minutes.
That’s a major upgrade compared to the 13.3 points per game he averaged during the regular season.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Detroit Pistons Same Game Parlay
- SGP: Over 208.5 points + Pistons to cover +8.5 spread + Cade Cunningham over 5.5 rebounds
We’re starting our three-leg parlay with a relatively conservative total-points line, which should hit with little to no problems. Game 3 racked up 225 points, and all three meetings have produced at least 204. A line slightly below the 210-point threshold looks attainable.
We’re also banking on the Pistons covering the +8.5 spread. Even if the Cavaliers win and even the series, Detroit should find a way to keep this game close. They’ve covered that mark in each of the three encounters.
Cade got everybody hype! https://t.co/oftu4BIYfm pic.twitter.com/vrUUvSCOlx

Last but not least, Cade Cunningham should have another brilliant night on the glass. Already established as one of the best rebounding guards in the league, he grabbed 10 boards in Game 3 and is averaging 5.6 boards per appearance in the playoffs. He’s also averaging 5.3 rebounds in the current series, giving this prop a dependable floor.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Detroit Pistons Team News
Cleveland Cavaliers Team News
The Cavaliers aren’t expected to make major tweaks to their rotation across the board and should keep their starting lineup intact.
Since they’re not dealing with any injuries, they should continue to rely on their backcourt duo of James Harden and Donovan Mitchell. Both played key roles in Cleveland’s much-needed Game 3 victory on Saturday.
Detroit Pistons Team News
The Pistons might not be at full strength, as Kevin Huerter (adductor) and Caris LeVert (heel) are both questionable for Monday. However, both are strictly bench players, and their potential absences shouldn’t be much of an issue.
Huerter has missed Detroit’s last six games, while LeVert has averaged a mere 4.7 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 13.0 minutes per appearance in the Eastern Semifinals.
